Closed Studio Headphones For Gaming

I use the headphones primarily for tracking in my recording studio. Because the cover the ear and have a closed back, they block out the music in the room, and allow the player to hear the headphone mix clearly. They do not distort and have a fairly even frequency response. The only downside is the cost, usually $ a pair, B&H did $ with free shipping, so I bought 3 pair. 5 |

A great go-to for headphones in the field or studio. 5 |

If your needs are anything less than a professional recording studio, these are the headphones for you. 5 |

I've been living in closed-back world for a few years thanks to office life. As my job transferred to remote and I had my wife sitting next to me, being able to hear her and things around the house became more important. I snagged these after a good amount of research around decent-to-good open-back gaming headphones (without being Gamer headphones). These are incredibly comfortable and sound great (running through a Schiit Fulla) with a great punch and nothing sounding too muddled. Definitely one of my more rapid favorites in my headphone lineup. 5 |

These headphones showed me there is indeed, a difference between closed back headphones and open back headphones. These , I think, are listed as semi-open back. I really like the sound. Arrived quickly and was well packaged. 5 |

For the money, these little wonders are as good as it gets. Clean mids and highs, great soundstage, and visceral bass Pros: -Sound incredible for the money; can compete with many much higher-priced phones, especially of the boutique variety (Bose, Skullcandy, etc) -Comfortable for long stretches -Don't require a dedicated amplifier (but can still benefit from one) -Simple, functional, and durable design Cons: -Pleather earcups get quite hot; not unique to these but rather a characteristic of all closed and semi-closed headphones with pleather cups Other thoughts: -Quite large. These compete with the Everglide S500's for being the biggest cans I own -These aren't true closed phones. As such, they do not provide the isolation you may expect Final thought: -If you only have $40 to spend on full-size headphones, there is simply no point in looking any further. They aren't just great for the money. They are just plain great! 5 |

These are certainly the best sounding wireless headphones I’ve ever heard. I use these closed BT phones exclusively for listening away from my home system...flying, coffee-shop, traveling etc. Obviously my open-air wired phones I use at home exhibit markedly higher-fi sound quality; but these Marshall BT Monitors are my hands down go-to when I need a wireless phone. My only critique for the designers would be to somehow make them a little easier to fold down, as I kind of feel like I’m going to stretch the headband too much or accidentally brake the hinges when folding down. That said I wouldn’t use any other BT headphones besides the Monitor! 5 |

Great closed back headphones. Fairly linear, good separation. Mine required burn-in. Ignore comments about shoddy construction unless you plan to sit on 'em. From just listening all the way to mixing, they should get the job done for you. 5 |

These have to be one of the best values in headphones, and they're made in the USA. I recently switched from a pair of closed-back to these open-back and I am loving them. My one gripe is that they are tight fitting. I have a relatively small head and I find these uncomfortable after about 45 minutes. I'm hoping they loosen up after some use. Now back to Oysterhead! 5 |
