I ordered the WD My Cloud 32TB 4-Bay NAS Server from B&H and after a few days I realized that I had ordered the wrong item I want the the PRO not the EX so after about a week I call B&H told them what I had done and the said no problem shipped out the WD My Cloud PR4100 32TB 4-Bay NAS Server I wanted and set up a RMA for the return of the 1st NAS... they even sent the return postage label all in about 8mins... one call that's all. I am getting up to 1000 Gbyte/s network throughput from my Photoshop computer to my file server. It feels like the files are local rather than across the network. - Make sure you use Cat 6E (for longer distances) or Cat 6 certified network cables. 5 |

I've had four drives of this model in a file server for a few months now. They work great, and thanks to the helium fill, consume lower power and thus have less heat dissipation than older drives. They are quite fast. They're built with enterprise-class hardware reliability features including the motor being secured at both top and bottom, for better vibration tolerance. They're designed to be used 24x7. I'm buying more of them. 5 |
