I have several SureFire flashlights and this is now my favorite. In addition to being very bright, it offers a personal defensive capability too. The performance ratings, such as maximum candela, appear to be correct based upon my measurements. Just think that it can light up an object located over three football field lengths away at 0.25 lx, which is the illuminance resulting from a full moon. I suggest that you purchase a spare SureFire 18650 Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery (one comes with the flashlight) and a pair of A123 batteries. The 18650 provides the greatest output. Also, the COAST S40 Sheath holds the Fury nicely. 5 |

I bought the Nitecore charger and 2 Nitecore 18650 batteries for a bug zapper. It had a battery, but I figured it would be good to have spares. Well, surprise, not all 18650 batteries are the same size and Nitecore's 18650 don't fit. So now I'm stuck with 2 useless batteries. Charger works great with the no-name battery. 5 |
