My wife prefers light-weight binoculars, and we find these Leica excellent. We still own a couple pairs of Leicas from around 1990. The biggest difference is that the news ones can focus much closer, and that is important for viewing hummingbirds. These were made by Leica in Portugal. Over the years, 3 of the 4 pairs of Leicas we bought were made in Portugal, and they are fine. Only one pair of 10x42 from around 1990 were made in Germany. 5 |

I bought the lense about a month and a half ago, since then that is the only lense I have used in all my trips (Portugal, Middle east, Sri Lanka and Back to the US) No other lenses beats the quality, portabilty and speed of this 28mm. I do carry a second body with a 70-200mm VRII but for 90% of my photos I use my A7s with this great lenses. 5 |

Just did 10 days in Portugal with this lens and all shots during the day were shot on this. F4 was not enough for night photography, but I knew that and switched to a faster aperture lens for the night. 5 |
