I've tried so many cold shoe adapters over the years I've lost count, and so many of them have ultimately ended up dropping my flashes, especially the metal ones with a screw that come included with many umbrella adapters. This is the first cold shoe I have tried that has never dropped one of my flashes, the combination of the build in spring lock release along with tightening the flashes down means everything is held securely, and the standard 1/4" 20 screw thread in the bottom means I can attach it to any of my stands or umbrella adapters. So these don't have the "Hot and cold" feature you get with airtags where a compass on your phone directs you to your lost object. Instead you get a loud beep, which could wake ppl up if you are looking for your keys and wallet at 6am. But it's a good android alternative. 5 |
