Coleman Electric Cooler Model 5640

I have another 150 quart coleman cooler but was getting tired of blowing money on ice. Insert the Pelican 150 and problem solved. This is a big cooler. Look at the measurements and think about the size. But, that size is needed to give you the insulation. Cooler works great, and for anyone looking at the other similar products in the market you aren't going to find any better pricing for the size, not to mention the FREE expedited shipping. Look at what some of the other vendors want to ship this product. Remember, the shipping weight is 81 pounds. B&H was great to work with, and they have gained my business with their customer care.

Specifically I'm writing about the 8TB model. Look at the specs, a "5640 RPM" speed and 128MB cache. It's not a speed demon, meant to put stuff on it you look at sometimes. I have 8 of them in a Mediasconic box, each as separate drive, and they work great. I think some of the negative reviews are people putting them in a NAS thinking they got a bargain. Well, use it for what it's not intended for, get results you don't want.

I have a small hatch back and was looking for a mobile power station to use with my electric cooler. The space in my trunk is very constrained and simply put, this knocks it out of the park. This unit easily runs my cooler for 24 hours, even in my confined trunk with minimal airflow. I have also been using it as a portable power station to run my Laptop, charge USB devices, etc. with zero difficulties. It really is as simple as plug in and go. The light weight is also a massive bonus and makes loading the car very simple!

The cooler does a great job on my MacBook Pro during audio Recording and Mixing/Mastring sessions. It keeps the computer's built in fan from constantly maxing out. The Belkin single fan cooler I used before getting this model couldn't do this. I also like the adjustable front legs and adjustable stops for the near edge of the computer. My MacBook Pro is 15.4 model and there's plenty of room for a 17 model. I also appreciate the 2 USB ports provided...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my HP Envy 5640 more than 5 years ago and works as if I bought it yesterday! The colors, the copies and pics I print with it still amazes after all this time! No issues at all!!!

I loooooove this stand. It’s both a Turtle stand *and* a Gary Coleman. I call him “Gary Turtle”...it lets me differentiate him from the regular Gary. All shiny and Chrome. (Don’t get me started on the black painted stands...the paint wears off, making them ratty looking, and the paint, as it begins to chop and flake off makes the bangles loose their grip, leading them to loosen all the time.) I’ve had a regular Gary Coleman for awhile...and I have an Inovativ cart and there is an attachment for mounting turtle stands to it. This is great, but a full sized c-stand is waaay too tall unless I’m putting the Paralinx square antenna on it...most of the time I put a monitor on it. Another great thing about this setup is it still fits inside of the Inovativ (Scout 42) when collapsed (and I still also hv my Steadicam mast and vest hanger in there too, so it's bery self contained. My favorite new stand.
