Perfect for the right occasions!!! Let's first talk about the mounting option accessories that ship with it so you can configure it to mount to cameras, providing various solutions. That's sooo smart. The build... DTap and other sources are well placed and can be used for multitudes of equipment. Crazy. The battery lasts a. Long. Long. Time!! I used it for more than it's "intended" purpose on a music video shoot. I rigged a 7" 12v monitor (DTap), powered a follow focus knob (5V), a wireless HD video receiver (12v), and .... something else. Effortless. The team loved the rig!!... you could see the gears in their minds spinning with possibilities !!!!!! Think outside of the box with this unit. Each item also had a battery attached for backup power IN CASE the handle dropped out at anytime. At that point, it could still be a handle. It lasted the ENTIRE duration of my needs... easy 6 hours without depleting. It's chunky even in a large hand, so be mindful of fatigue if rigged onto a heavy system. I first used it on a caged BMD 6K and it flowed easily for 3.5 hours. It powered the camera, and a 7" monitor for what I recall to be the entire live event (intermittent use, but powered up 85% of the time) Have a great time with the unit!!! It just works. Pop an Anton Bauer battery on, Plug in to a 12v DC equipment. With less work these days for our BetaSP camera, we wanted to be able to get more use out the battery system we bought for it. Now we can power LED lights or our LCD field monitor for days.

Using this cable attached to aSmallRig DV 12v Battery Plate usingNP-F970 and my A7S powers all day on a single battery. The camera will show the power going down however when you turn the camera off and then back on the percentage will go back up.

The Viewsonic VG1655 is an amazing monitor. It feels solid and the image is bright, sharp, saturated, and truly gorgeous. The screen's 16:9 aspect ratio allows multiple app windows to be displayed simultaneously while remaining readable, even with the Windows Scale display setting at 100% rather than 125%. The rear has a swing-out support that can prop up the monitor horizontally or vertically. The magnetic snap-on screen protector is actually quite rigid when mounted and should provide ample protection. The included cables should handle any connection scheme. My application is as a part of a telescope control computer that can be taken into the field. The computer is a mini-PC that normally runs off a 12Vdc adapter. The monitor can be powered from one of the computer's USB ports. With a 12V/6000mAh lithium battery, the entire package will run for about four hours. Haven't tried it yet with a 12V sealed lead acid battery, but I suspect up time to be longer. Overall, the package is a bit more cluttered than using a laptop, but the performance and flexibility are greater, IMO. Minor criticisms: 1) the included cables are all longer, thicker, and more rigid than seems necessary, but that might be an advantage for some, and 2) built-in speaker volume and quality are a bit wimpy, but they are included and still consistent with how the monitor will be used. The Viewsonic VG1655 is one of the few products I've purchased that so well exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.

We run 6 of these, we do seal them up with silicone and have never had an issue. Run 12v battery packs to keep them running on every detection to catch trespassing. We have caught trespassers not.matter where we are.

I purchased this to scavenge the fake battery with the DC cord (the part of this Watson kit that plugs into the camera's battery bay), in order to create a 12V battery eliminator, which I use for astrophotography from remote sites that do not have AC power available. It worked perfectly! I combined the fake battery part with a separate 12V DC to 8V DC converter (actually a variable output DC to DC converter set to 8V output) that I already had in order to power the camera from a 12V source, such as a vehicle battery, automobile power outlet, or a 12V portable solar power system. This allows shooting all night long in remote locations without worrying about either having enough camera batteries or having to switch out batteries during hours-long photo runs. It also eliminates the heat of the discharging battery from inside the camera body, thereby allowing the camera to run cooler and reducing sensor noise (dark current) I tested the AC adapter and it also worked perfectly. Excellent performance, low price, well made. I recommend this item.

Great battery pack for the price. It is very compact and easy to use. We use it power a 12V system when the AC power is not available.
