We have a n router, not an AC standard router, but, compared to the adapter built into our relatively new laptop, the wireless download speed increased from about 20 Mbps to 36. Our hard wired service from Comcast into the router is about 85-90 Mbps so there is speed loss in wireless, but it's much less with this adapter than the one that is built into our Dell laptop. Plus, if we ever buy a new router, (and possible upgrade our Comcast internet service), we may be able to take advantage of the higher AC band speed. 5 |

I replaced my comcast modem with this one plus a NETGEAR router. The setup instructions weren't quite complete enough, but NETGEAR customer service was great and got me set up. This router has smart connect to allow both WiFi bands to use the same network name and select the correct bandwidth for all devices but has to be enabled in the settings. Overall, it is saving me money and works great! 5 |

I recently replaced my Comcast gateway with this router. It was easy to active and setup. I paired this modem with an r6700ax router and my internet speeds at home have increased substantially. Both of the devices were affordable and have definitely increased my quality of life and work from home efficiency. Would recommend this combo to anyone looking for an upgrade to their home network without breaking the bank. 5 |
