I'm new to recording for AM radio, but I know what I want - a clean recording, one that can be cranked up without annoying distortion, and procedures that are easy to understand and do. It's all in the RODE USB podcaster. In the past three months, I've tried SM58s, Shure SM63LB (mic for television interviewing), and several other mics that I plugged into my laptop 1/8 port - and they all made somewhat degradable recordings. The RODE USB connection means that the mic goes directly into my computer USB port - like it was meant to in the first place - and it goes directly into my Audacity software - BOOM - clean and bright. I don't want headaches with complicated hookups for my computer. I have a Windows 7 laptop, and all I did was stick the USB wire into the computer. Fantastic. Twenty seconds later a message popped up - Successfully installed. I went to my software and hit the record button, and INSTANTLY I was recording. What a gem.

I love that I was able to just plug into my laptop computer port and start to save pics and other memories I don't want to loose. Thank you B&H for always being so helpful in finding the right product and being so helpful.

The j5create USB 3.0 DUAL HDMI DISPLAY ADAPTER 4K+1080P adapter/dongle allowed me to set up a quadruple screen workstation with my laptop computer! Since my laptop has one 4K HDMI port - that is 2 screens. The j5create has 1 HDMI port and 1 4K HDMI port giving me screens 3 and 4. You only get to use 1 4K screen with it. The reason may be energy usage - the unit runs warm (a nice hand warmer for winter computing). Beautifully it just worked when I plugged it into my laptop USB 3.0 port. There's a saying, Once you go dual you never go back. Now I can expand my screen work area as needed with most any computer. I am very happy.

USB-C is faster, and there is only one USB-C port on my laptop, so this is now in use.

Works perfectly. Even with every port occupied and working in the field I have never had a disconnect issue which is a common problem of other devices that are more expensive. Differently highly recommend for full time pro use.

This is probably the most flexible and compact router you will find, and at a very low cost. The function of each port can be configured, and wizards make common configurations quick to get running.

Connected to usb 3 port on my PC it didn't work with win 7 back up system. This is a common win 7 usb issue it seems and no fault of this product.Backed up 348gb. in about 90 minutes once I discovered Easeus todo which is an excellent product and it's free. Normally this size of backup takes me about 9 hours with usb 2. Very pleased with this product so far.

I use this to multiply my musb port on my laptop and couldn't get along without it.
