Compact Digital Camera Reviews Under 200

Under $5, how could you go wrong? Thank You!

I was making the move from a digital all-in-one (and phone camera) to a mirrorless camera, and the reviews of this one really got me to look it over. I am so glad that I did! The Micro 4/3rds system makes it so much smaller and more portable than full frame systems, and Canon includes so many helpful ways for a novice to learn while taking pictures with this model. The 'scene' and 'AP' modes start you with presets for taking certain types of photos, and the Info button can be used to toggle on or off a helpful blurb about almost every option. The lens options for this camera are also fantastic. There are so many great lenses out there, and the prices AND size/weight of them is so much more reasonable than larger camera models. The OM-D E-M10 is not for a professional photographer (though the higher end models certainly seem to be) but for someone who aspires to be a more serious hobby photographer, I think it's a GREAT way to launch.

I purchased this reflector after reading the reviews here and seeing a review in Digital Camera giving the best review among reflectors, so I decided to give it a shot. This was a breeze to pop right out and start shooting with on our first shoot of the year. It made a big difference in our outdoor shoot providing a good amount of light with a great color tone. The only issue we had with this was right in line with many of the other reviews. It is nearly impossible to put it back in the case right the first time. It just takes just a few uses to get used to returning it the right way. It was well worth the purchase and I would do it again in a heartbeat! I am also glad I went for the larger size instead of buying the smaller one and then having to turn right around and purchase this one.

I was looking for a case for my new Panasonic DVX200 and found this Porta Brace case. After reading the two reviews here on B&H, I was discouraged. I really wanted a Porta Brace case. I have always been satisfied with their products. The reviews said many things like the Porta Brace website does not have a custom case for the DVX 200. But it does. It listed this model, their case for the DVX 200. I also researched reviews on Adorama which were more encouraging. I decided to take my changes and ordered the case. I took it out for the first time on a shoot this past weekend. WOW, i eliminated many other cases just because of the room this case has. In addition to the DVX 200, I was able to carry two Sennheiser wireless lav kits, a handheld mic w/ flag and transmitter, a Zylight, the camera' s boom mic, headphones, and two small Porta Brace bags (one came with this purchase) full of small accessories, and a v-mount backplate, etc. One outside pouch held two IndiPro Tools v mount batteries. It really has a lot of room in it. The case came with a padded Porta Brace bag, a white card, one padded divided, a bag that was perfect for the panasonic camera boom mic, two small dividers that fit around the camera and a strap to hold the camera in place. All the dividers, bags (except the Porta Brace branded bag) and strap use velcro so they cam be placed anywhere in the bag allowing some customization. The case is well constructed. I would recommend this case for the Panasonic DVX200 (or similar size camera) based on my personal experience.

I bought this lens after reading several reviews and testing one on my camera, a Nikon D80. I was pleased with the sharpness, which is better than my Nikon 18-200 lens at 200 mm. Even hand-held, the lens produced excellent images at all focal lengths. It is relatively large, but balances well on my camera. I haven't noticed any lens creep, which is also an issue with the Nikon 18-200.

It is a really good camera for the size of it! I use it as camera next to my SLR. I also use it as my Under Water camera, much smaller and easier to handle than a SLR.

Perfect camera for on the go!!! Compact and portable and takes great quality digital photos.

Under 20 bucks and it works

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.

Great case for a compact digital. It protects the camera and doesn't add too much bulk. No use having a pocket camera with a bulky case that is hard to carry along.
