Compare Canon And Olympus Digital Cameras

To be honest, I have nothing to compare it to...since going digital I have only used Canon (and Nikon before that for film) until now that I use a Sony a7IV. All of my cine and photo friends who went to Sony with a load of Canon lenses recommended this hands down. I love the design and feel of it. So far so good!

My wife and I both have Olympus cameras. We ordered one Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm. When it arrived we set up a camera on tripod in the driveway. It was a cool afternoon, not much heat shimmer. I easily captured a herd of deer at least one mile away. The next morning my wife got a rabbit, full frame, hopping across the neighbors driveway. Then we got frolicking prairie dogs in a nearby town. At this point it was clear that sharing was not a viable option. We ordered a second one.

I have this type of folding lens hood for my Canon film camera and wanted the same type of lens hood for my Olympus digital camera that I use quite a bit, as I didn't care for the hard lens hood it came with. I also ordered the wide angle lens hood for the digital also, but haven't used that one yet. With the 'folding rubber lens hood', I can leave it on my camera all the time, till I'm ready to use it. I've used it when taking close up shots of flowers and it helps with blocking the glare. I would recommend this product to anyone that wants something quick and easy to use.

I have 1 for each of my 4 digital cameras because they are the do everything lens.

I use the Vello Canon EF/EF-S mount to use old Canon EF zoom lens on my Olympus Pen micro 4/3 cameras. It serves that purpose well. A caveat, probably already known to most, is that auto-focus lenes will work only in the manual mode.

The Vello remote works on both my Canon and Olympus cameras with just a switch of the connecting cable. The normal wireless remote has a limited range and if something like a lens hood or camera strap obstructs the line of sight to the infra-red sensor on the camera, it's frustrating to have to keep trying to get it to work. This Vello system circumvents that problem nicely.

The quality of pictures from Canon PowerShots just cannot be beat. I've seen and used other point and shoot cameras from olympus and nikon and they don't even compare. I finally upgraded to a new canon from my old Canon PowerShot SD300 and was not disappointed!

Can use this with my Canon, Olympus, and Panasonic cameras. Will work with other brands too. Just need to purchase the proper connection cord to fit your camera.
