Compare Monolith 1060 And Sennheiser 558 Headphones

Headphones sound great. I have them running through a Monolith USB Dac from Mononprice. I feel there are very neutral but need more listening time. 5 |

I use these headphones for everything, simply because they work, and they are comfortable. I haven't found any other headphones that compare yet. 5 |

As an audiophile and an owner of some of the best headphones from Sennheiser and others, I must say that the AirPods Max Headphones are excellent - - in fact they are terrific. The sound quality is superb and the headphones are extremely comfortable. This product gets my highest rating of 5/5. 5 |

This would be the Illmatic of Headphones for DJs. Sennheiser kept If it ain't broke, don't try fix it. Many user replaceable parts. Light weights construction for hours of use without fatigue. I believe 2024 marks the 35 years anniversary of this headphones. As glasses wearer, on-ear nature of this headphones works wonder. Since nothing existed in this world is perfect, here are few cons; little thin and easy to get tangled straight cable, coiled cable is also nice to have but little to heavy and long for my taste. Although included Pleather pads are comfy, and gets worn out rather quick. Invest in velour pads like ones from DT770. 5 |

Went to NAB to compare mics, specifically. Listened to Sennheiser, Sanken, Shure and this was my favorite. Had for over a year, still love it. 5 |

The best ENG mic, in my opinion. I had a chance to compare it with the Sennheiser MD 42 omni. This EV RE50 has a much fuller sound, and no Ss and Ps sensitivity. Moreover it works as an omni, but when the sound comes from above, it's even better and stronger, so it combines the good parts of omnis and directionals. It connects well to the Sennheiser plug-on, and is balanced with that as well. Look at reporters on national and local TV, most use this mic. Comes with a clip (the stem is much thinner than most), an adapter to 3/8in, and a nice padded bag. 5 |

It doesn't compare to my Sennheiser setup but I'm impressed. It performes as expected and even better. I use those (4) lav on the road with a portable recorder and it sure makes my life easier! No regrets what so ever! 5 |

Definitely worth the money. I can only compare them to Sennheiser HD 280 (mine are prob'ly 15+yr old) and AKG K371 (just bought). To my ears, they are all fine products. The HD280 are slightly more flat (as expected). The K371 seem a bit softer, maybe slightly more subdued highs. The MDR cups have a tendency to flip because they swivel more freely but not a big deal. They do seem a bit more fragile for that reason plus the exposed wires that make a big loop. Overall, I'd say a nice round sound. I love them so far. 5 |

... but these are great. I can only compare them to Sennheiser HD 280 (mine are probably 15yr old) and Sony MDR-7506 (just bought). The K371s give a slightly fuller sound compared to the 280s (expected and totally fine) and slightly more pleasant (softer) highs than the 7506s. I think all have enough detail (for my ears anyway). Having the detachable cable and not one, not two but three *different* cables included is a very nice touch. Speaking of nice, build quality and texture of materials are much better than I expected from the pictures. They are the right weight and feel perfect (meaning not slippery, snug but not tight). I'd say all three are very close but these are worth the extra $50. At the current price of $130, it's a no-brainer. 5 |
