This lens is amazing, delivery quality image as any prime lens, plus the feature that let you work in composition. This lens (200-400 f4) do the job of 200mm,300mm and 400mm primes 2.8mm. The only difference is the aperture (a little more than 1.2mm less of those three). Using late canon model cameras as 1D X or 5D Mark III, that is not problem. I feel this lens is a new generation of photographer's gear. 5 |

My first impression of this lens... I love it! I just received it in the mail today with much faster delivery than expected. Thanks B&H! Lens is heavy, built is very solid, weather sealed, aperture ring is tight. Someone mentioned in another review that there is clunking noise when this lens is moved back and forth, yes it's true... it doesn't bother me though, I think it's the OIS mechanism. I received this lens in the evening, the sun was almost set. I snapped a few pictures and was really delighted to see the results. The sharpness, contrast and color rendering were wonderful. I can't wait to shoot more with this lens. 5 |

An FYI, I just today (8/29/2024) took delivery of a new unit from B&H. Box reflects production in April, 2024. The included case is a much nicer black canvas-like material with the latch-opening top, similar to but obviously larger than what’s included with the 10x25 BCA Trinovid. A positive upgrade over the brown-ish/tan neoprene zip case shown in so many reviews of this model. Just a gorgeous binocular itself too, I’ll add. 5 |
