Computer Camera Light

I bought this tool to help me mount a camera light on my computer monitor to brighten up the video on zoom calls.

Camera, media, and light; are like a hammer, wood, and nails. Moving to digital capture, computer mediums, and LEDS is a perfect pairing.

Definitely a better camera than the one in my computer. The auto focus works well. Not great for low light, but none of these small sensor cameras are going to work well like that, so just get a ring light. Ability to position it on top of my external monitor (or wherever I want) is a big plus even if it is not unique to this unit. Really like the privacy shade and the big green light that comes on when it is in use.

It comes with a clip to attach it to a laptop computer's screen and that clip has a hole so that you can position it above the laptop's built-in camera (which is the most commonly desired placement) with the camera peering through the hole. Also comes with a mini three-legged non-adjustable stand. Can be mounted horizontally (long) or vertically (tall). While named a fill light, it could be bright enough for use as a main (key) light in low light. I'd only recommended it for use with a laptop computer because it will only be bright enough to make a noticeable difference if in close proximity to the person/subject being lit. Pleased with purchase. If you need a similar but truly bright light then you'll need something larger, heavier, and not USB-powered such as B&H# VIL132T, plus the Watson AC adapter for that, plus a tabletop light stand.

The room lighting for my video conference feed was poor and phone/computer camera exposure settings were not adequate. I was looking for a mobile phone selfie-light (those LED circle ring types) and found this one. If you're going to buy a piece of equipment, you'll get what you pay for. As the natural light changes in my`new' office, I'm able to adjust the intensity of this light so that there are no facial shadows on the video feed.

I use the Lume Cube Panel Go & Ball Head Camera Mount with 3/8-16 Light Stand Adapter on an articulated gooseneck arm over my webcam on my computer monitor. The articulated arm is attached to the monitor stand. The light is bright and has good enough color for this use. I have not tried it with still photography or a video camera but it seems well designed and well enough built. The diffuser is flexible and seems to stay in place even though it fits between the light and the ball head top plate (screwing down the light is only slightly affected by this but it is not super tight without modifying the diffuser.) The ball head seems fine over the top of my computer webcam but I haven't tested it in a work or field application so I can't vouch for how sturdy it would be atop a camera or camcorder, i just haven't tried it that way. So far I'm very happy with the light and the way the adjustments work though all the information displays are on the back of the light and I use it front facing (so I can't see what the actual display says.) Good small light for a webcam application, no complaints so far.

I use it to transfer footages from camera to computer.

It tethers your camera to your computer/other device. That's what it does.

The computer case is light, well thought out and very convenient.
