Really strong, easy to use and great for clamping on pipe or desk edge, the locking pin is will built and great design, 3/8 and 1/4 holes are well placed, I use it with solution9 arms for small monitors or even a wall plate holding a stream deck. Great unit

I bought the 1450 for a future trip to the Caribbean. I was looking for a case that could be locked with padlocks so I could cable the camera gear to something while not in use. Metal reinforced locking holes or tabs on this case seem adequate. It would probably take a lot of smashing to break the locking features off... As far as the water tightness...I took the 1450 out on a kayak camping trip in the Chesapeake bay. The wind whipped up and was sending waves into the cockpit (and through the cheap sprayskirt I had) onto the case. My canon gear stayed nice and dry (as expected). The 1450 also made a nice storage case for the gear back at camp. No worries when your stuff is in this case. The one downside of the 1450 is that it is too bulky for low impact or light camping. It is perfect however for transport and storage of your gear under other circumstances.

Got this for a checked bag/waterproof storage. Pros: - locking latches are easy to use and dont pop open if thrown around. - stong case + good looks - spring loaded handles Cons: - when you go to roll it, it likes to sit up and that initial pull can be annoying or stop and go it likes to fall back to the seated postion and not remain at a slight angle. Considerations: - weight (its the same weight as its competitors, but just be aware of that #)

The thing works perfectly. It reverses for storage keeping the lens small and light. I hope the locking clip, which works so well, keeps on working for many many years
