It connected the DisplayPort on my computer to the HDMI port on my monitor.

My new computer has one HDMI and one DisplayPort output and I have two monitors I want to use.� This DisplayPort cable lets me use the second monitor now.� The 3' length is more than enough without having extra coiled up. My screen is 2056x1080.� Since this cable is 4K rated, it works great for my extra wide but not 4K large screen.

Important note is that this is one-way: DisplayPort to HDMI, not the other way around. I chose to go with an adapter like this, rather than a cable with different DisplayPort and HDMI ends, as this gives me the freedom to change the HDMI cable I'm using with the computer if I want longer or shorter. No complaints!!

It's always better to have single cable, than to use an adapter and a cable. This one does the job of connecting a DisplayPort to HDMI device.

I bought this to connect my aging Samsung monitor, which only has DVI and VGA inputs, to my new computer which only has DisplayPort and HDMI outputs. Since the monitor doesn't have a sound system in it, DisplayPort is the natural choice, and I use the HDMI of for my pen tablet. Cable works flawlessly with no problems in picture quality and has plenty of length to be able to stow the computer out of the way. It feels durable enough to last many years.

The Xcellon Displayport to HDMI adaptor works great. I tried using it on an older computer to connect a couple of different monitors varying in age in each one worked. I also tried it with my newer ben q 4k monitor on my main computer and also had no issues. It does exactly what you need it to do. The build quality is good, it's small and compact, and it locks in so it won't get accidentally pulled out. I'm very pleased with this adapter. I use this to convert 1080p DisplayPort output from a computer going into a HDMI KVM switch. It has been working well, with no visual artifacts or other problems.

I needed to a cable to connect my laptop to TVs. Works Perfectly. Even has sound. Used Displayport to HDMI. I haven't tried HDMI to Displayport.

On my mac mini 2018 with a 4k monitor, I swapped an HDMI to HDMI cable with this thunderbolt to displayport cable. Huge difference! Before, the entire display was sluggish and unresponsive. Now, the picture is sharp, and the UI is smooth and responsive.
