Computer Ethernet Port Splitter

With so many people separated due to the global pandemic and the proliferation of bluetooth wireless earbuds, a headphone cable splitter may seem incredibly pointless. However, I can assure you that it is not. Do I use it so that my many friends can listen to the same video in a quiet house? No. Maybe that's because I don't have any friends (or a quiet house). But I do use it as a substitute for a much more expensive home theater system. I simply connect the included audio cable from my computer's audio out port to the audio in port on my monitor. Then, I connect the audio cable splitter to the audio out port on my monitor, and connect my headphones to one of the five outputs on the splitter. Voila! I can now listen to audio from my computer, my bluray player, and even from an external device such as my phone or MP3 player, without ever needing to unplug or reconnect any audio cables. It's genius, it's remarkable, and it's worked for years without fail. Two thumbs up for this excellent product! 5 |

This TP-Link ER7206 router was purchased to replace an ancient D-Link DGL-4100 router that still worked but which no longer maintained full throughput and which didn't support IPv6. Both of these routers have built-in 4-port Ethernet switches. When it comes to Ethernet routers, my needs are quite simple and the ER7206 meets those needs perfectly. So far it seems to be performing flawlessly. The router is being fed by a cable modem (550 Mbps downstream and 22 Mbps upstream) and has a computer, color laser printer, smart TV, and Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) connected to it. The AP has a built-in 4-port switch to which a Blu-ray Disc player is connected. The router was directly connected to a computer for setup purposes and the process was straightforward. I did update the firmware, which is always a good idea since some fixes may be security related. If your needs are as simplistic as mine, then I highly recommend that you consider this product. 5 |

I'm using this with my older Macbook pro that does not have USB-C or ethernet ports. I just plugged this adapter in my USB-A port and it worked right away. The computer saw it and connected to my network without any issues. This will come in super handy when I need the fastest signal possible. Or if the wireless connection is spotty. I did a speed test with this adapter connected and I was getting over 500 mbps upload and download speeds on my work network connection, which is as fast as I can expect to get. I'm happy with this adapter and it would be hard to beat at this price. This is a very affordable solution if your computer does not have its own ethernet port. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the design of the adapter, it feels well made, it fits easily in my computer case, the inclusion of a ubc-c port next to the ethernet port means you don't lose the ability to plug in external devices or charge, and it's plug-and-play (so no driver download or setup). Being able to charge at the same time is quite an important feature as on many Chromebooks like my sons, it has only one multi-purpose usb-c port, used for charging and external devices. There are a couple of situations that this is/has been VERY useful: -A couple of weeks ago my Dell XPS ultrabook updated and messed up the wifi, none of the normal solutions worked, and when Windows diagnostic suggested plugging into the router via an ethernet cable... well, ultrabooks don't normally have ethernet ports. -As an avid amateur photographer, I create a ton of photos, I save to a couple of hard drives but also to a personal cloud and a cloud service (call me paranoid). Over wifi, transferring 10-20 Gb of data takes ages. With this device, files are transferred in a fraction of the time. To sum up, I love this adapter, I don't need it often, but when I do it's invaluable! -Pros Small, well made, faster internet/data transfer, able to power computer and plug-in internet at the same time, good for internet emergencies, plug and play. -Cons The high gloss black finish attracts finger prints. 5 |

I have a full camera rig setup for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6k. The dual swivel on both ends of this HDMI cable makes it ideal for cable management, especially when the HDMI port for the field monitor is on the left side and the monitor it is mounted to the left of the camera/lens. You can wrap the cable flush against the surface of the monitor and don't have to worry as much about damaging the HDMI port on the camera or monitor if the cable gets accidentally jerked. I have several of these cables now. One runs from the camera to a 4-port powered HDMI splitter and then from the splitter to the viewfinder, focus monitor and wireless transmitters. 5 |
