Computer Keyboard Input Not Working

Work perfect, using for keyboard input into mixer.

My working computer is a MacBook Pro 13 2017 4-port. I am learning video editing and needed more screen real estate.  After researching prices for quality 4k monitor prices for my laptop, this iMac was only a few hundred $ more, and you have a new computer to boot.  This machine is blazingly fast compared to my MacBook, and verified when checked with geekbench's free version, which is to be expected with a newer machine, and the screen is beautiful.  My only complaint is with Apple not making the wireless keyboard with the same size keys and spacing as a MacBook. Going back and fourth between machines, as I do in my daily workflow, I find my fingers overshoot on the smaller wireless keyboard. The new Trackpad has some of the same feel issues as well. Make sure to actually use the usb output that matches the computer your are testing your mouse+keyboard with. I had the keyboard+mouse not working like some mentioned in other comments/reviews. I contacted the support team which helped me make it work correctly. It's silly but we never know what would have with lack of coffee :) .

This enabled me to use the input on my laptop to run the Midi Keyboard that I was trying to use.

It is working great after installed it into my computer!!!!

This is the second Zagg Case/Keyboard I have owned. It’s the only keyboard that I have found that allows me to type as I would on a full sized computer keyboard.

This IOGEAR GCS110-4 4-Port KVMP switch is my first purcahse of this type of gear...should have bought one years ago. I had checked out one of the other brands, but the manufacturer's web-site had the same photo and description for two models, very confusing. I am using this switch with three computer, Win7, Win8.1 and a Linux rig. I keep the fourth port open for testing other computers, no need to connect one being tested to a separate keyboard and mouse setup. This switch allows me to easily switch between computers via keyboard shortcuts. I have a Logitech Keyboard and Mouse which share a single wireless USB dongle, plugging the dongle into the keyboard USB port of the monitor area of the switch allows me to use the keyboard and mouse on all computers. I did have to uninstall the Logitech software which allowed for custom keyboard layout (volume up/down, next track, etc.) as it seemed to conflict with the way the KVMP switch emulated Keyboard and Mouse Control...not an issue for me in this case. I am not a hard-core gamer, thus do not have a mouse with 92 buttons on it..more of a FPS and Flight Sim guy here. I like the fact that I can switch the keyboard/mouse, Vidoe and USB separately from the audio, that is I can have music playing on one computer, switch the Keyboard/Mouse, Video, and USB to another computer and still hear the music from the first computer. I have all my external drives and printers connected directly to the Win7 computer working as a server for all my data. I have a USB hub connected to the KVMP input which is accessed by whichever computer I am using for such things as my web-cam, joystick, multimedia card reader, and ID CAC Card Reader. I started taking IT classes and now I can easily do remote access, learned how to access Windows Shared Folders from the Linux box...and more, having the computers side by side with one control system is a Godsend. I would recommend this switch to anyone considering such a purchase.
