Computer Keyboard Tutorial App

I bought it to use for screen capture tutorial recording. It works exactly as expected for that. App is optional but it can only change the level on the analog output.

Once you download their app, you can set it up in about five minutes, and my speed in my home office is virtually identical to being in the living room, where the router is.  I thought I’d have to find a plug in the living room to extend it to the office, but I couldn’t find one that was close the office, so I just put it in the office, and it works great!  Here’s a tutorial I found when I was looking into it, but by the time it arrived I’d forgotten about the tutorial and really didn’t need it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRI06c9d9sU  It was so easy to set up I thought surely I was missing something… until I realized how much better my signal was! Amazing keyboard no complaints other than the AC app

This is the second Zagg Case/Keyboard I have owned. It’s the only keyboard that I have found that allows me to type as I would on a full sized computer keyboard.

This IOGEAR GCS110-4 4-Port KVMP switch is my first purcahse of this type of gear...should have bought one years ago. I had checked out one of the other brands, but the manufacturer's web-site had the same photo and description for two models, very confusing. I am using this switch with three computer, Win7, Win8.1 and a Linux rig. I keep the fourth port open for testing other computers, no need to connect one being tested to a separate keyboard and mouse setup. This switch allows me to easily switch between computers via keyboard shortcuts. I have a Logitech Keyboard and Mouse which share a single wireless USB dongle, plugging the dongle into the keyboard USB port of the monitor area of the switch allows me to use the keyboard and mouse on all computers. I did have to uninstall the Logitech software which allowed for custom keyboard layout (volume up/down, next track, etc.) as it seemed to conflict with the way the KVMP switch emulated Keyboard and Mouse Control...not an issue for me in this case. I am not a hard-core gamer, thus do not have a mouse with 92 buttons on it..more of a FPS and Flight Sim guy here. I like the fact that I can switch the keyboard/mouse, Vidoe and USB separately from the audio, that is I can have music playing on one computer, switch the Keyboard/Mouse, Video, and USB to another computer and still hear the music from the first computer. I have all my external drives and printers connected directly to the Win7 computer working as a server for all my data. I have a USB hub connected to the KVMP input which is accessed by whichever computer I am using for such things as my web-cam, joystick, multimedia card reader, and ID CAC Card Reader. I started taking IT classes and now I can easily do remote access, learned how to access Windows Shared Folders from the Linux box...and more, having the computers side by side with one control system is a Godsend. I would recommend this switch to anyone considering such a purchase.

It was a gift and once I watched the tutorial it is easy to use.
