[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect to convert DisplayPort to HDMI This Plugable dongle has been working great to convert my DisplayPort output on my computer to work with an HDMI cable. Important note is that this is one-way: DisplayPort to HDMI, not the other way around. I chose to go with an adapter like this, rather than a cable with different DisplayPort and HDMI ends, as this gives me the freedom to change the HDMI cable I'm using with the computer if I want longer or shorter. Got this square-ish (5:4) monitor from B&H. Its the neat form factor I wanted for the home office, not a wide screen. Its beautiful. Premium stand and screen. Comes with all cables (USB, HDMI, and VGA - although I couldnt connect the monitor to the computer via USB but see below. Used the HDMI) and solid, polished hardware. You snap and twist it together in two seconds. It works as expected and I love it. BONUS: Two USB ports on the monitor. For these USB ports to work and sync you need to connect the monitor to the computer via the USB (in addition to the HDMI cable). Maybe thats what the USB cable and port behind the monitor are there for (and not to be the primary means of connecting the monitor to the computer). So maybe Im not such a klutz after all?
