This Xcellon 3-in-1 HDMI Multiport Adapter is great for everyday use. It mostly lives with my MacBook Pro and gives me an extra USB type- A connection and allows me to hook up a 4k HDMI monitor. It's lightweight and it survived my 2-year-old throwing it off my table onto a tile floor. The connection is snug and I don't feel like it would easily fall out. I tested it out with a Ben Q 4k monitor and an older Lenovo 1080p monitor and it worked great with both. I also like that it is bus-powered and worked immediately without having to install any drivers or software. This adapter is no-frills and does exactly what it needs to. I really like this monitor; but, I do want to add that if you are going from a VGA connector to the HDMI connection I found I had to have a HDMI mini adapter for the HDMI as my graphic board only had a small HDMI input...perhaps this will help someone in the future. 5 |
