Simply plug in the power cord, connect to the computer via the supplied USB cord and start copying files. It's just that simple. I copied more than 1TB of photo files, numerous videos (including the movie Princess Bride) and and an iTunes library with more than 30,000 songs, along with a variety of other desktop files. The WD 12TB Elements is now only about 1/4 full. It's perfect for large file storage. I also have a WD 5TB Passport hard drive as a secondary back-up for photos and music. I take the Passport with me when travelling to upload my photos. 5 |

I needed a longer cord to connect my tablet to my computer. This length worked for me. It works as advertised, which is fine with me. I have no way to confirm the stated transmission rate. 5 |
