Computer Monitor Flourescent Backlight Voltage

Love the computer so far but never got the monitor.

This is especially useful with multiple computer peripherals that use bulky voltage adapter. While many of the devises use only a small amount of current, the adapters take up a lot of space and quickly use up outlets. With this product, can use one outlet for four devises and the length obviates the issue with bulky adapters interfering with use of other outlets.

Has long sought a blower to clean my computer and electrical appliances in general. This product meets all expectations. The construction is made of metal, it is easy to handle, powerful and has a variety of accessories. Cleaning up my computer I do not take more than 1 minute. Remember that the voltage is 220V, other voltage 110v versions.

I use it to provide conditioned power (uninterruptible as well) to my computer and all peripherals. The automatic voltage regulation is as, if not more important to sensitive electronics. Under voltage and over voltage can do bad things to electronics and it is not as apparent as a power outage, spikes, or brownouts. I have another of the same on my TV, cable modem, DVD player as well. You hook it up, it works, you do nothing (except change the battery every couple of years). I have a Mac and their software doesn't run on a Mac. But it is no big deal as you really don't need it.

The onboard controls and display are great for when you're connecting equipment other than a computer, such as routers/switches/etc. As a side benefit, the voltage readout lets me know when my incoming house voltage is swinging throughout the day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been almost a month now and I wish I had bought this earlier. I had my doubts about 1080p resolution on a 34" monitor, infamous backlight bleeds on ips monitors and some other small stuff but I don't feel any pixelation. There is a really small backlight bleed at the lower frame near the lg logo but it is really small and not noticeable enough to bother with getting a replacement. Overall I am very happy with the colors. Watching movies on an 34" ultrawide is just AMAZING. I have the monitor mounted on an arm that has the reach to swing from my desk to my bed and now all I do is watch movies one after an other. I used to frequently go to the movies but since I get this beast I don't feel the need to. Another big plus is the multitasking with LGs onscreen controls, which lets you seamlessly divide your screen into multiple parts which gives you so much space and freedom. Definitely a must-buy! There are lots of LG 34" ultrawide variations with loads of different specs, just browse them and get one that meets your needs, like 144hz refresh rate, higher brightness levels, mounting, etc or just get a simple 34" ultrawide just to multitask and watch movies the way they are meant to and pay less.

This monitor is just simply put, better, than all of the competition currently available on the market. For 1080p this panel is crisp , clear and has vibrant colors out of the box no tuning needed. After tuning the monitor to preference using the rather "meh" OSD buttons (they are the horizontal layout, slightly tedious to use but not the end of the world) you can tune the monitor and utilize the backlight strobing to reach clarity bliss. There are a couple modes of backlight strobing, I usually use normal but at night you can use the other modes which are significantly darker but offer nutty clarity. You can also use the other modes if you have curtains for your window and turn off the room light. Regardless of the brightness issue on the more extreme setting I want to stress that this monitor is already phenomenal at stock tuning. Plug and play is most definitely a great option. I haven't referred to the most important and obvious feature, 240hz, which is buttery smooth in those competitive titles. Even when playing more demanding games the motion clarity does make everything more visually appealing and tolerable for longer hours. Comparing to my last monitor which was 144hz I can notice a very solid difference, while it doesn't render 144hz useless I will be quite reluctant if I ever return to the limitation as the extra smoothness is quite nice. The last thing I will touch on is the aesthetics and build quality which can be summarized as a very solid build quality coupled with a sturdy stand that can go up, down, turn to either side, and rotate to a vertical position. Personally I use a monitor arm but I did test the stand and it does stand things very well. I appreciate that it's an unassuming all black monitor with few flashy red lines and distasteful RGB, which makes it versatile for any setup. If you are looking for an upgrade To higher refresh rate gaming or even daily use this is it.

Purchased two of these for a dual monitor setup, they have been great so far. One of the two arrived with a backlight defect, but because of B&H's top notch customer service I was able to get a replacement within 2 days.

The monitor came without any issues whatsoever - no dead pixels, no backlight bleed I'm able to notice under just about any conditions. I do wish B&H included a euro power plug which are used in my country instead of three (!) that don't fit, but changing the packaging is probably a real hassle, not taking any points off for that.

One of the best bang for your buck monitors out there! I honestly didn't expect to get this nice of a monitor for this price. I have owned it for about a month now and every time I sit down at my desk I thank myself for upgrading. I figured I would end up with at least 1 dead pixel and being an IPS panel I also expected a decent amount of backlight bleed but yet again, Asus has exceeded my expectations with ZERO dead pixels and very minimal backlight bleed :) I love the little opening in the stand, I usually hook my mouse cable to the back of the monitor but every once in a while it would catch on the back of my desk. If I route my mouse cable through the base and out of the front of the monitor it keeps the cable away from the back of my desk. Stop reading reviews and just buy it already! 1440p, IPS, 1ms, 165hz, G-Sync + ELMB at the same time, great color accuracy, and an extremely easy to use UI. What else could you ask for at this price range? Asus nailed it with this one!
