Computer Monitor Input Signal Out Of Range

I tried 3 other splitters to send signal from computer to both the projector and an input of the ATEM Mini over a BMD HDMI to SDI to HDMI signal path. I got either flickering or the green screen of death. FINALLY, right out of the box, this splitter did the job.

It's a cable and its job is simple, take the signal from the computer and display it on a monitor.

If you have an old monitor with a vga input this is a simple way to connect to a newer computer with only display port outputs.

I have use a variety of approaches to monitor 3 cameras and a computer driven slide show at a production bench. I considered all the the multiview monitors but never pulled the trigger because of price. I have a few 24 TV's lying around from different studio and computer builds. This added to one of those TV's is my current go to production monitor. A word of advice, use a TV not a computer monitor. Computer monitors may not support the resolution you are feeding from a camera or passing through an on camera recorder. The pile of surplus TV monitors now has a few computers monitor in the stack. The beauty of this device is a display of 4 inputs that can switch quickly via a remote to 1 input only. Which can then be scrolled from input to input. Attach a headphone to the TV and you can also monitor the audio on that input channel. Or in the split screen mode, you can select which audio feed you want to monitor with the remote. My 4 channel audio switch is no longer on the bench. If you get really creative, add a bluetooth transmitter to the headphone jack and you can wander around your studio with bluetooth headphones monitoring sound. If you are running the original ATEM mini which lacks a preview view, this lets you see a 4 input preview. You will need a splitter on each input with outputs to both this switch and the ATEM mini. Or just buy the ATEM Mini Pro and you will have a 4 channel preview device with a lot less wires.

I use it to route a computer monitor output to an HD-SDI input on a projector. The Blackmagic converter works flawlessly.

Useful to get that line level signal hiss-less when using a mic input.

Great range and strong signal inside and out with one satellite.

Finally got myself a capable computer and this is the monitor I paired with it. Beautiful color range and depth. Real sweet setup. And the price was right.

This was the perfect connection to allow a separate signal from there Line Out on the Portacapture X8 to the Mini XLR inputs on my C70 Cameras

We received an SSL 2+ at our university to test and review. When it came my turn, I was immediately impressed with the overall sound and functionality. I grew up on SSL consoles and it was great to hear anything close to that original sound. The mic preamps are very smooth and do not have any obvious jumps in signal when adjusting the gain like some other interfaces. The 4K buttons add a very noticeable top end and clarity that really enhances the input signal. Having 2 headphones outs is ideal. I chose the 2+ for the MIDI IN/OUT also. I have an older M-Audio Keystation Pro that no longer worked using the USB connection. Connecting to the MIDI IN/OUT on the 2+ has brought it back to life. I am also very, very happy with the tabletop design. It does not take up much room on my desk and provides all of the functionality that I require. Overall, I am highly impressed with the unit, use it everyday, and will continue doing so. Thanks, B&H, for your customer service.
