Computer Monitor Plug Into Laptop

IT WORKED WELL FROM THE FIRST TIME I PLUGGED IT INTO MY COMPUTER

It worked for what i needed it for. I needed to plug my XLR Mic into my laptop computer for Podcasting since I didn't have a mixer. It worked pretty well.

I love that I was able to just plug into my laptop computer port and start to save pics and other memories I don't want to loose. Thank you B&H for always being so helpful in finding the right product and being so helpful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the LG 32GP850-B because I capture gameplay footage in HDR and edit that footage. My previous monitor didn’t have HDR so it was tough to see what I was editing until I uploaded it and watched it on a TV. This monitor has HDR so I can actually see what I’m editing correctly. This monitor is 1440p so I can see images nice and clearly and has a 165Hz refresh rate so games look amazing on it. On top of that, you can overclock the monitor to display at 185Hz which makes it even faster. I always plug my computer into a monitor using DisplayPort because it supports the highest frame rate and the monitor’s G-SYNC technology which reduces screen tearing when frame rates are higher. It also supports FreeSync if you have an AMD graphics card. This monitor is a monster in size at 32”. It is practically a small TV, perfect for streaming Netflix and Hulu. The Netflix Windows app even let me watch in HDR! You can also plug a USB cable from the monitor to your computer and use the high-speed USB ports on the monitor. The monitor comes with cables too, so you don’t need to go out and purchase a DisplayPort cable or an HDMI cable to use those features. It can also rotate 90 degrees to give you a smart phone orientation, if you are more comfortable with that for work documents in multiple windows. I searched for a specific size touch screen monitor as found this one. I was not familiar with the brand but while searching I found that viewsonic had the best ratings 2 of the past 3 years. It did come with minimal instructions in the box but B&H photo had some better instructions to download. So here is a couple of helpfull . Turn your computer off, plug in the included hdmi cable( connection under left cover panel at the underside topwhen facing the rear of monitor), plug in the included cord for the touch screen ( left side panel when facing rear of monitor. Plug in the included power cord. IMPORTANT: turn monitor on first and then turn on the computer. I had no issues on start up. This is used with a windows 10 system. This is a great product ,no issues. B&H also had the best price of anywhere I searched

Mounts with a pair of magnets, plugs into a USB port on the monitor. You have to plug in the USB-C cable to the computer (which also carries video as well as USB). To get it to work with an M2 Mac Mini, I had to install Dell's DDPM app for the U2421E - otherwise none of the USB ports worked on the monitor.

At the $190 sale price I picked it up for, this would be a great deal even if it was just an ordinary QHD 24 monitor. But the built-in extras add a ton of versatility: - I'm able to connect my laptop with only one USB-C cable that carries power, video signal, and USB data to the built-in hub that I plug my USB devices into, providing a true one-cable docked setup with no need for an external dock. - The built-in camera and mic are really good quality, way better than even the fairly nice ones built into my laptop. - 90Hz refresh rate is nice for more smoothness. - 400 nits of brightness makes it not look like the typical dim desktop monitor. - Includes speakers which are better than my laptop's, but still not great for playing music. The only thing I feel it's missing is an audio out jack, so that if you do have external speakers, you can plug them right into the monitor rather than the laptop or getting a USB audio DAC to plug into the monitor. And the speakers could be better, so you don't feel the need to buy external ones in the first place. Though admittedly this is a lot to ask of a monitor's built-in speakers, especially at this price point. Regardless, if you're looking for a 24 screen at 122 DPI, I don't think you can go wrong with this monitor.

This adapter has enabled me to plug my small work laptop into my much larger PC monitor, giving me lots of flexibility as I work from home. The price was also terrific, and it shipped so quickly.
