This camcorder was bought for a Senior Center project for interviewing elderly people who want to tell their story and have it on a professional quality DVD. I am a member of the Center and am the volunteer technical advisor for the Video project. I thoroughly researched camcorders with the the intended use in mind for the Senior Center and had no qualms having them buy it. The Canon S200 is perfect for recording interviews. I didn't need the higher end models because the built-in memories were more a nuisance since the camera will be in a separate location than the computer and I will be carrying the chip to the computer. Since most use will be indoors, the viewfinder provided on the top of the line model is not necessary. The optics of all three medels are the same, so I tried to save the Center some money. I am still learning how to set the camcorder up so it will be easy to train other users. I don't want to be the only camera person. 5 |
