Computer Monitor Screen Glare Shades

Shades the sun on my video cam monitor screen. I keep one (various sizes) in each camera bag. 5 |

I've had this monitor for a year. I work full-time as an editor (90% in Premiere). Having 2160 pixels of vertical real estate is very important in my workflow, and it's hard to find in an ultra wide monitor. Replacing my dual 28 4k panels with this one was a bigger upgrade than I thought it would be. So nice to have no bezel in front of me. Colors are accurate enough for editing and preliminary/rough color work. I haven't had any connectivity issues with my computer going to sleep or not recognizing the display. Everything looks sharp, and the variable refresh up to 72Hz enough for what I need. I'm on a Mac Studio M1 Max, with a mini DisplayPort to full size DisplayPort cable running straight into the panel - not through any thunderbolt hubs or breakout boxes. I have found using Thunderbolt to carry the display signal to be occasionally glitchy over the years, so I have abandoned it to keep things simple and (hopefully) reliable. One caution that others have mentioned: If you are in a VERY bright room, you'll need a brighter screen. My office has lots of windows, white walls, and white cabinets. On a cloudy day, I can work with all the shades open. On a sunny day, I need to lower 1 or 2 of the shades. To me, the brightness is reasonable and the anti glare matte screen is as good as I expect paying this much for a monitor. 5 |

I went for the non-glare screen, and don't regret the extra cost. It is easy on the eyes and produces striking image quality. I use this computer for photography processing, and it is a joy to see everything enlarged at high resolution. It's a real workhorse. It would be nice if Apple made this expensive computer up and down adjustable. Works fine for me, but if you desk isn't the right height, there's not a lot you can do. 5 |

Ever since cataract surgery in early 2,000, I have been bothered by glare making it difficult often impossible to read a computer screen. The nano screen solves the problem worth every penny of the 5 hundred dollar extra charge. Kudos to B and H representative who took the time to explain to me that this nano screen is not a computer but a display that can only be used with a computer placed behind it. In this way it works like a charm. I've been a Band H customer for about 50 years. The thoughtful, caring men and women of B and H never disappoint. Thank you so much! 5 |

The stock screen that comes with the monitor is like a mirror. This one's not perfect but is miles better at reducing glare. As someone who pulls with the screen on, this is a necessity. It should be the standard option in my opinion. 5 |

This monitor is terrific and gives me extra screen space for my office computer so I do not have to use multiple monitors. 5 |

We bought this monitor because our 19 was just too buggy--the screen was always acting up. This ASUS is so fantastic it makes me wonder why I kept the other one for so long. Pros: - Good resolution - Excellent color - Lightweight - Lots of input options - Buttons easy to see - Adjustable angle - Easy on the eyes Cons: - It turns itself completely off when the computer goes to sleep. My old monitor would wake back up when we pushed a button on the computer or moved the mouse. Hooked up to HDMI which may be why. The button is easy to reach so it's not too much of a problem. - I don't use it for audio so I don't know about that. 5 |

Needed a protective case to carry an extra computer monitor screen so that I wouldn't accidentally shatter my screen again. This works perfectly! I highly recommend it! 5 |

The Viewsonic VG1655 is an amazing monitor. It feels solid and the image is bright, sharp, saturated, and truly gorgeous. The screen's 16:9 aspect ratio allows multiple app windows to be displayed simultaneously while remaining readable, even with the Windows Scale display setting at 100% rather than 125%. The rear has a swing-out support that can prop up the monitor horizontally or vertically. The magnetic snap-on screen protector is actually quite rigid when mounted and should provide ample protection. The included cables should handle any connection scheme. My application is as a part of a telescope control computer that can be taken into the field. The computer is a mini-PC that normally runs off a 12Vdc adapter. The monitor can be powered from one of the computer's USB ports. With a 12V/6000mAh lithium battery, the entire package will run for about four hours. Haven't tried it yet with a 12V sealed lead acid battery, but I suspect up time to be longer. Overall, the package is a bit more cluttered than using a laptop, but the performance and flexibility are greater, IMO. Minor criticisms: 1) the included cables are all longer, thicker, and more rigid than seems necessary, but that might be an advantage for some, and 2) built-in speaker volume and quality are a bit wimpy, but they are included and still consistent with how the monitor will be used. The Viewsonic VG1655 is one of the few products I've purchased that so well exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended. 5 |
