Computer Monitor Shelf For Desk

First, I'll say I love the desk. It's just what I wanted. A full service desk in a small footprint. It fits a 30 widescreen monitor on the top shelf along with my iPad, and on the next shelf I have a 13 MacBook Pro and Wacom tablet. Accessory shelves hold an external hard drive and headphones. (See photo) The desk showed up in one large, heavy box but seemed pretty well packaged and handled. Opened it up to find all the pieces needed to set up and easy to understand instructions. Overall, it took about 30 min to set up. The only glitch I ran into was that one of the bolt seats in the underside of the top shelf was off-line and wouldn't take a 4th bold as a result. It doesn't really cause a problem, but would have liked the extra bolt for stability that a desk this size can struggle with. I did not install the wheels since this desk is staying put and wheels would have compromised the steadiness of the desk. I use it as a standing desk and appreciate the ratcheting of the main support leg that will hold it in place until you tighten the hand screws. I haven't tried lowering it yet which you need to raise it all the way up before you can lower it. However, with a large monitor on the top shelf, this is not an easy task and I purchased this with the intent on keeping it raised. I use a tall stool to give my legs a break. Some lateral sway if you intentionally move it, but for normal use and typing, I don't notice any more movement than a larger desk. For the price $129 you can't find a better deal. I looked. And B&H had the best price. I will say that the desk actually doesn't ship from B&H, but direct from a second company. Good luck. PS. Mount-it, if you're reading this, I'd be down for you sending a replacement shelf. Thanks. 5 |

most useful when you want to conect a camera or other device to your desk when the Desktop computer is further away from the monitor on your desk 5 |

The Ergotron is well-built and accommodates a variety of monitor and computer options. The unit arrived well-packaged and partially assembled. Final assembly and setup took less than an hour. Using the desk, the sit/stand function works well, and the adjustable tension/lift-assist makes it easy to move the desk up and down. The casters are great on hard floors or tight pile carpeting. Overall, this is a great desk. It's a more expensive, but you get what you pay for in the quality of the build. 5 |

I love these glass stands; I purchased two of them, one for a computer, and one for an additional monitory, and they were incredibly easy to assemble and set up on my desk. They are very sturdy, no shifting, tilting, or anything that would detract from their function. Additionally, the clear glass makes it possible to see things that may have slid under the computer or monitor, and to help you see what you are doing when you plug your computer in to a power source. The glass does not detract from any color scheme you may have; it just sort of disappears from one's awareness except for remembering its great functionality! I have post-its and other small office supplies on the glass that holds my computer, so I can slide the keyboard underneath when I am not working on the computer. I use the other stand for an oversize monitor, and can keep desk items both on the glass stand and underneath it as well. These stands have really helped me to maximize my work surface. They are so useful and the best desk accessory I have purchased in a long time. I have used several types before these, and these are far better because they are very sturdy and they are clear. 5 |

Love the small profile of this computer - it tucks under the monitor stand on my desk without infringing on my workspace. I usually work in multiple programs simultaneously & this computer handles that without any problems. 5 |

Great way to show off all those polaroids that you keep stored in your desk drawer or a box on the shelf. 5 |

This clamp can hold a 580EX II wherever you want, like in a door, a desk, a chair, a pipe, a shelf... It stays in the position you left it and you don't have to adjust it all the time. I use it to hold a 580EX II controlled by another one in my 50D 5 |

I bought this to use with a Sennheiser MKE600 on a boom and occasionally attached to a super clamp on a shelf over my desk. It feels solid, but is still light enough to toss in my carry-on for trips. Very easy to adjust, holds just tight enough without transmitting vibration. This will get a lot of use. 5 |

This was perfect for the underside of a shelf on my desk. I could add the rack space without a large space hogging rack case. 5 |
