Computer Monitor With Hdmi And Usb

Got this square-ish (5:4) monitor from B&H. Its the neat form factor I wanted for the home office, not a wide screen. Its beautiful. Premium stand and screen.  Comes with all cables (USB, HDMI, and VGA - although I couldnt connect the monitor to the computer via USB but see below. Used the HDMI) and solid, polished hardware. You snap and twist it together in two seconds. It works as expected and I love it.  BONUS: Two USB ports on the monitor. For these USB ports to work and sync you need to connect the monitor to the computer via the USB (in addition to the HDMI cable). Maybe thats what the USB cable and port behind the monitor are there for (and not to be the primary means of connecting the monitor to the computer). So maybe Im not such a klutz after all? Solid piece. Love it.

This cable was used to connect an HDMI monitor to the computer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] HP 24i G4 WUXGA monitor is a fantastic monitor. Widescreen Ultra Extended Graphics Array" (WUXGA) is a 16x10 aspect ratio with a display resolution of 1920x1200 pixels which provides a slight edge over the FHD (Full High definition) monitors. Other notable features of the monitor are Low blue light mode, Anti-glare, good Contrast ratio (1000:1) and refresh rate of 5ms (milliseconds). Monitor supports multiple ports like HDMI, USB, Display Port etc. Monitor box/package contains multiple cables including DisplayPort 1.2 cable, HDMI cable, USB cable and AC power cable. Monitor is easy to install and can be used horizontally as well as vertically. Its design is sleek and stylish. Overall it is a great package.

Buy the monitor to have it connected to two computers and use it when needed. I have one by HDMI and the other by USB-C. It works wonderfully.

This capture card just works. Plug USB in and connect to computer, and connect up HDMI to camera, and you are ready to stream or record.

This small little device is amazing. It converts an HDMI signal to USB without any software/drivers . . . and allows the computer to recognize it immediately and easily. It is totally worth the expense.

Note that while the pass-through HDMI port will support 4K, the USB signal provided to your computer is only max 1080p. It's perfect for my needs, but if you need 4k on your computer then look for a different device. The 1080p is perfect with no artifacts or other glitches. Highly recommended.

I had been using an Anker USB-C 5-in-1 hub with my 2019 MacBook Pro, but the HDMI output was so-so, and I really wanted to do away with the extra ethernet dongle I had for hardwiring, and the stupid short cable on it was always a pain because it was RIGHT THERE beside the laptop. The CalDigit dock fit the bill as a replacement after comparing a variety of other models, and the fact it has Power Delivery (a must!), dual HDMI outputs of 4K @ 60Hz, as well as enough USB C and A ports to suit my needs. I like the fact it has Thunderbolt *to* the computer to handle the bandwidth of all these ports, and the lower cost of not having TB ports on the dock itself, as I still have 3 on the computer if I really need them.
