Computer Mouse And Keyboard Stopped Working

This IOGEAR GCS110-4 4-Port KVMP switch is my first purcahse of this type of gear...should have bought one years ago. I had checked out one of the other brands, but the manufacturer's web-site had the same photo and description for two models, very confusing. I am using this switch with three computer, Win7, Win8.1 and a Linux rig. I keep the fourth port open for testing other computers, no need to connect one being tested to a separate keyboard and mouse setup. This switch allows me to easily switch between computers via keyboard shortcuts. I have a Logitech Keyboard and Mouse which share a single wireless USB dongle, plugging the dongle into the keyboard USB port of the monitor area of the switch allows me to use the keyboard and mouse on all computers. I did have to uninstall the Logitech software which allowed for custom keyboard layout (volume up/down, next track, etc.) as it seemed to conflict with the way the KVMP switch emulated Keyboard and Mouse Control...not an issue for me in this case. I am not a hard-core gamer, thus do not have a mouse with 92 buttons on it..more of a FPS and Flight Sim guy here. I like the fact that I can switch the keyboard/mouse, Vidoe and USB separately from the audio, that is I can have music playing on one computer, switch the Keyboard/Mouse, Video, and USB to another computer and still hear the music from the first computer. I have all my external drives and printers connected directly to the Win7 computer working as a server for all my data. I have a USB hub connected to the KVMP input which is accessed by whichever computer I am using for such things as my web-cam, joystick, multimedia card reader, and ID CAC Card Reader. I started taking IT classes and now I can easily do remote access, learned how to access Windows Shared Folders from the Linux box...and more, having the computers side by side with one control system is a Godsend. I would recommend this switch to anyone considering such a purchase.

Make sure to actually use the usb output that matches the computer your are testing your mouse+keyboard with. I had the keyboard+mouse not working like some mentioned in other comments/reviews. I contacted the support team which helped me make it work correctly. It's silly but we never know what would have with lack of coffee :) .

Just got my Magic Mouse, and love it. The little control wheel on the old mouse just stopped working, always felt it was too delicate. The new mouse is flawless in this regard, with very smooth scrolling, it's like having the touchpad right on your mouse. The mouse itself is well built.

Both pen and mouse stopped working on my six years old Intuos 4 tablet. I was considering to get a new tablet but decided getting a new pen to extend life of otherwise working tablet is worth it. Pen works fine straight from the box. It looks and feels the same as an original pen that came with tablet.

My old wired mouse stopped working so I went to B&H t replace it, but all they had were the wireless versions. I was a little hesitant since I had always used wired ones. I took a chance and I'm really glad that I did. It works flawlessly I don't have to worry about where the wire is anymore. Fantastic!

I use this to switch the monitor, mouse, keyboard and sound between 2 computers. It's been working flawlessly.

This is the second keyboard like this I had. When it stopped working I was really upset till I seen it on here It makes it so easy to find the keys' I just love it and would recommend it to everyone

My computer front ports stopped working with a Windows 10 update, and I could not get them to work again. But my rear 3.1 ports were working fine. So I saw this little unit, and bought it at B&H's low price. It's plug and play, and functions perfectly. I plugged it into a rear port, and double-sided taped it to the computer top. It has a power button that once turned on, never has to be used again. Turn the computer off, turn it on again, and the hub powers up with the computer. Perfect, and an easy fix! I can high-speed transfer to my USB sticks again!

A year back, my computer stopped working. This hard drive's predecessor saved me. Really seriously saved me. Getting a new drive to replace an aging one was smart. Getting it from B&H was a no brainer.
