Computer Not Recognizing External Keyboard

Lots of room. No problems with my computer quickly recognizing it (unlike numerous other external hard drives I've used). Use them for long-term travel so the rugged body provides peace of mind. At this price, for this capacity and ease of use, it was well worth getting a second one in order to be sure many TBs of video and photo files are safely backed up.

I had trouble with Yosemite recognizing this external drive.Others have had this same problem with a variety of external drives with this OS as I subsequently found out searching the internet. The activity light would come on but it did not show up in Finder as a device or on the desktop.Kext Utility 2.6.1 was suggested as a remedy but I could never get a download unassociated with a lot of software I did not need.I left the WD My Passport 3 TB attached to my Apple MacBook Pro attached x 24 hours and for reasons entirely unknown to me,it was recognized and is working fine now. From searching the internet, this is not a unique experience. Hopefully,no further problems with the drive & Yosemite.

Since I always use an external keyboard and mouse with my computer, I have long-wanted to get my laptop screen at eye level. With this laptop stand, my wait is over. Designed with DJs in mind (I guess they put mixers under their computers at gigs), this stand turned my shelf into a stand-up desk. Sure you can do it yourself, but this is inexpensive enough to make that unnecessary.

Plug them in and they work. You do not have to worry about the printer not recognizing them.

This is the second Zagg Case/Keyboard I have owned. It’s the only keyboard that I have found that allows me to type as I would on a full sized computer keyboard.

This IOGEAR GCS110-4 4-Port KVMP switch is my first purcahse of this type of gear...should have bought one years ago. I had checked out one of the other brands, but the manufacturer's web-site had the same photo and description for two models, very confusing. I am using this switch with three computer, Win7, Win8.1 and a Linux rig. I keep the fourth port open for testing other computers, no need to connect one being tested to a separate keyboard and mouse setup. This switch allows me to easily switch between computers via keyboard shortcuts. I have a Logitech Keyboard and Mouse which share a single wireless USB dongle, plugging the dongle into the keyboard USB port of the monitor area of the switch allows me to use the keyboard and mouse on all computers. I did have to uninstall the Logitech software which allowed for custom keyboard layout (volume up/down, next track, etc.) as it seemed to conflict with the way the KVMP switch emulated Keyboard and Mouse Control...not an issue for me in this case. I am not a hard-core gamer, thus do not have a mouse with 92 buttons on it..more of a FPS and Flight Sim guy here. I like the fact that I can switch the keyboard/mouse, Vidoe and USB separately from the audio, that is I can have music playing on one computer, switch the Keyboard/Mouse, Video, and USB to another computer and still hear the music from the first computer. I have all my external drives and printers connected directly to the Win7 computer working as a server for all my data. I have a USB hub connected to the KVMP input which is accessed by whichever computer I am using for such things as my web-cam, joystick, multimedia card reader, and ID CAC Card Reader. I started taking IT classes and now I can easily do remote access, learned how to access Windows Shared Folders from the Linux box...and more, having the computers side by side with one control system is a Godsend. I would recommend this switch to anyone considering such a purchase.
