Computer Not Recognizing Wireless Keyboard

The Apple Wireless Keyboard is a convenient way of saving the use my keyboard on my Mac Book pro. I also love the grey steel color because it matches my computer. It truly makes a fashion statement. I bought the keyboard to save the use of my computer keyboard.

Lots of room. No problems with my computer quickly recognizing it (unlike numerous other external hard drives I've used). Use them for long-term travel so the rugged body provides peace of mind. At this price, for this capacity and ease of use, it was well worth getting a second one in order to be sure many TBs of video and photo files are safely backed up.

This is my 2nd Apple wireless keyboard. Needed it for my other computer. Apple simply makes the best keyboards. Rock solid performance and once you've worked on one for a while, the others feel like you are walking on rocks.

I've tried almost every type of different wireless keyboard and mouse to use with my computer, which is situated behind speakers, 10 feet away from where I use them, and this has been the only receiver with a consistent connection. Its accurate enough to play games like call or duty, or to do photo editing. The keyboard is pretty nice, I like it but some people don't. The mouse is a little small, but makes up for it with a very nice mouse wheel and other frills. But if you're considering this product for a home theater PC, all that is more or less moot, because IMO the Logitech unity receiver is the only option. TL;DR: don't buy anything but a Unity receiver device, such as this one, for long distance computing usage.

This a very good wireless keyboard and mouse set. I the same one for my editing computer. I needed a new office computer I decided to purchase the same model. I have only had to change the batteries. The price was good too.

I purchased my wireless keyboard because I don't like wires cause they get tangled and are always in my way. It i nice to be on the computer without wires all over the desk. The only thing that the instructions didn't mention is that there is a small button at the bottom of the mouse and keyboard that you have to turn to the on position after you install the batteries. I accidentally found these little switches. Once I turned those on, my keyboard and mouse started working.

My working computer is a MacBook Pro 13 2017 4-port. I am learning video editing and needed more screen real estate.  After researching prices for quality 4k monitor prices for my laptop, this iMac was only a few hundred $ more, and you have a new computer to boot.  This machine is blazingly fast compared to my MacBook, and verified when checked with geekbench's free version, which is to be expected with a newer machine, and the screen is beautiful.  My only complaint is with Apple not making the wireless keyboard with the same size keys and spacing as a MacBook. Going back and fourth between machines, as I do in my daily workflow, I find my fingers overshoot on the smaller wireless keyboard. The new Trackpad has some of the same feel issues as well. While I'm not a very computer friendly type person. I found both the wireless keyboard and the mouse extremely easier to get up and running. So much so that it seemed too easy. I thought I would have to load a program or do some type of initial programming first. But its just put in the batteries, put the USB plug into my new laptop and its all done. EXTREMELY EASY.
