I was leery for some time about buying a color chart/calibration tool. However, being in a period of time where I may find myself filming with both Sony and Blackmagic gear at the same time, this color checker has proven to be a critical piece of gear for my needs. So long as I think/remember to use this as my scenes and setups change, this has proven to allow me to match the colors between my cameras/setups more easily and has greatly reduced the time and effort I have to spend in post tweaking my colors to get them to look just right. I know initially I was concerned about buying one of these due to reports about them being cheap or flimsy and while yes, this is made of plastic, between the 1/4-20 mounting hole at the hinge to the folding design to protect the color squares, I have no concerns with handling this color checker no different than I would a laptop. 5 |
