Computer Play Both Speakers And Headphones

In a testing environment we needed someone to wear headphones but the tester needed to listen over speakers. Both devices connected to the splitter and worked just fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will admit I was initially intimidated by the mere idea of hooking this turntable up, but the promise of being able to connect wirelessly to our bluetooth speakers and headphones motivated me. It was packed very securely, however a few of the parts/accessories were tucked away in the styrofoam packaging and there were a few minutes of panic until I found them. Assembling the turntable and connecting it (wired) to our amp was easy peasy, as was pairing the bluetooth with our speakers. I really like the minimalist design of the turntable, it is very modern looking and unobtrusive. The buttons and knobs are are easy to find and to use. Using the turntable to play a record is simple and straightforward and the sound is refreshingly clean. As soon as the kiddos knew we had it (and what it could do) they came over with their laptops that have recording software on them, and literally stacks of albums and spent the day using the turntable to record the albums onto their computers. I will be honest - I would not have known how to do that without them showing me first. What I really like the best is that I can play albums and listen to them through bluetooth on my wireless headphones, in another room! I love it and would recommend this highly to someone looking for a good turntable that has bluetooth capabilities.

I bought my first Play 5 in Feb 2017. I use it in my living room and just love the sound. Setting it up was a breeze, just connect the power supply, a few clicks to configure the system in the controller app and done! I have been an audiophile for almost a decade with focus being on headphones primarily. I never thought that audiophile level sound experience was even possible through speakers at such an affordable price and in such a simple plug-n-play manner. The build quality of Play 5 is just amazing; shows the rigor that went into design and manufacturing. Trueplay is such an amazing piece of technology. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard the music after tuning the speakers with Trueplay. The sound is so close to what I could achieve with some of the best headphones, DACs and amps earlier. Now I can listen to all my favorite music across genres like classical, rock, pop, psychedelic etc. without being restricted to sitting in one place. Sonos Play 5 is pure audio bliss! I strongly recommend it to all music lovers.

I was amazed at the sound coming out of these very affordable speakers. Plug 'n' Play on my old Win 7 computer. I didn't know the internet could carry such a wide spectrum of sound.

I casually listen to my iTunes collection, Apple Music, and SoundCloud. Play:5 sounds wonderful: full, deep, rich sound, surprising bass, no distortion; Is reliable: music never skips or stalls. I replaced a pair of M-Audio computer speakers. Play:5 sounds better than any computer speakers and bookshelf speakers I have owned. Play:5 in white looks beautiful, especially with white shelving. I bought Play:5 in December 2015 when a 45-day return period was offered. I have no regrets. The only disappointment is in the controller software. Sonos Controller for Mac is like a music player from the early 2000s; Difficult to navigate; Awful for discovery. I wish I could play my iTunes collection from iTunes to Play:5 (without AirPlay). I lose over a decade of metadata gathered from my music habits. But, Play:5 sounds great.

I have a couple of small Bose speakers that I use as Bluetooth to my computer to play music on the go. These lens cases were the exact fit for excellent protection of these speakers. Purchased two, one for each speaker.

I love the Connection input on the Play 5 and while I currently own the earlier Play 5 it is still outstanding. I cannot wait to get my hands on the new Play 5. I love it when a friend comes over and has some music on a phone or other device, I can just plug it in and hear their latest favorite. In my office it also makes a compelling speaker improvement over my computer monitor and speakers. I can check out new iTunes music over a good speaker before downloading. Truly, I would love to see an Aux Input on ALL Sonos Speakers. I could drop a pair of Play 1's on my Desk and feed them from my computer. They would then do double duty as stereo music streaming from the home Sonos system but also handle computer audio needs. Right now I have the Play 5 in my office and have tuned the EQ with my iPad and still love it. Oh yeah, don't forget to enjoy tuning your Sonos speakers EQ with your iPad or iPhone. Hey how about an Android App for tuning!!!

I have always loved Bose products: my earbuds, my headphones, and even my computer speakers. It can be hard to return once you get acclimated to a certain level of sound quality. This unit is very versatile for switching from 2 sources to one set of headphones, or from one source to a set of headphones or earphones or switching between computer headphones and speakers. It's small, compact and very portable so doesn't take up much space on the desk and is easy to transport. I use it to switch between a headphone amp/headphones combo and an amplifier and speakers using one source. there are no negatives about this handy device! It has so many applications it is indispensible!
