Computer Processor Cooling Fan

I shoot real estate photography and videos, and edit using Premiere Pro. My 17 laptop is fully upgraded, 32 Gig RAM, SSD hard drive, and the processors fan was always kicking in high speed when editing video and running super hot (I have a clean dust-free laptop too). Although Ive not measured the before and after difference in computer speed, that was not my intention for getting the cooling pad -- I was looking to keep my processor cool and happy. Before the cooling pad, the heat blowing out of the right side vent was hot to touch. But after using this Thermaltake cooling pad, my processors fan has never kicked into high-gear yet, and the processor runs at a consistent normal slower speed. And actually, the cooling pad fan makes my entire work area cooler too (kid you not). Theres an adjustable fan speed scrolling switch on the left side to control the speed of the cooling fans, along with an on/off switch for the blue lights. The USB connection is on the left, but that wasnt an issue for me as my laptop has 2 USBs on left and 2 on the right side. The noise level is nothing to speak of. If I were recording voice using a microphone, I would of course turn off the cooling pad. But even on high speed, the fans are quiet. I have my speed set to just a little above the off position, and it still cools incredibly well. My only complaint are the 2 tabs in the front, to keep a laptop from sliding down, protrude above the level of my laptop so they rub into the bottom of my arms when typing. If Thermaltake had perhaps installed rubber covers over the tops, or made them slightly lower, that might help (see pic). However, I keep those tabs folded down as my laptop doesnt slide around, so I dont use them anyway. Overall, I would recommend buying this cooling pad, and I cannot imagine why one would need to spend more. Its quiet and keeps your processor cool and happy! 5 |

I use this product for portrait photography and also for product images. The only thing that I would have like to have seen would have been a fan for cooling. 5 |

It includes the cooling fan, which is good enough, and the GPU in it. It's the best CPU for the business use! 5 |

My company recently implemented new security policies on our workstations which effectively removed all administrative privileges from our user accounts. To do anything that requires administrative privileges, even installing/updating software, we have to contact an admin to remote into our computers and enter their credentials. As an electrical engineer I have a lot of software that I use for various work related reasons. Finding this new policy as a hindrance on my ability to do my work efficiently, I decided to update my ~8 year old PC and do my work on my own equipment. Coming from a third generation i5 processor, the difference is night and day. I did find that the stock cooler was not cooling as well as I would like, even without overclocking. So I did upgrade to a larger and more efficient cooler and my idle temps are below 40C, and jump between 50C and 60C under heavy load. My previous setup was water cooled but it is a pain to setup and maintain so for now I'm just keeping it simple with air cooling. I would have spent a bit more and purchased a processor with a higher core count but I have heard that AMD will be coming out with a new processor series with the AM5 socket, so I didn't want to invest too highly on this AM4 processor. This processor was my middle ground and so far I am very happy with it! 5 |

Had to replace processor that overheated due to a liquid cooling system pump failure. Works fast as advertised! 5 |

This is my first AMD processor, and it working very well. It barely gets higher than 30% when I am killing it. My cooling fans don't rev up, and it remains very stable. I runs my games well too, without a hint of stutter. For the price, this is one of best all round processors, and I will recommend it to anyone. 5 |

The Ryzen 7 CPU is a fantastic core processor that does a satisfactory job computing whatever tasks you assign to it. The included cooling fan does it's job well and includes thermal paste for that little extra cooling efficiency. 5 |

The cooling system works very well, keeping my processor (Core i7 7900k) below 50 Degrees (122 Fahrenheit) when it is at 100% load. The noise level of the fans is acceptable when it is at its maximum power and is very quiet at normal power. 5 |

Incredibly well built. The cooling fan is superb. The new dual gain sensor over-performs for a Micro Four Thirds chip. The GH6 has almost every tool and setting that any video operator could ever dream of. This camera can shoot 5.9k video ALL day long without overheating. I literally tested this for 2 days straight. The EVF and LCD screens a clear and bright. No,...the autofocus is NOT as good as Canon or Sony...but...its starting to get OK. Its decent now at holding well on subjects but background pulsing is still there. Its not as bad as past Lumix cameras and its a definite improvement. To sum it up...this camera supprised the heck out of me. I was expecting to return it after testing it. However, I was wrong. It's a very impressive camera that won me over completely. It says in my collection. 5 |

Took a full charge and worked for hours, even when the camera got hot and the cooling fan was going. 5 |
