Had to have for connecting older external drives to USB-3 ports. Unit adds ports which is good as it uses up two of the MacBooks ports. Also has a SSD card slot which works well too. The standard USB port is a little tight so you have to be careful removing it as it will pull the entire hub from the computer. It runs cool and haS not experienced any heating problems. It also seems to transfer sufficient power from the computer to various plug-ins such as external drives without problem. Overall it has been a very good purchase. 5 |

This is such a great price for how useful this product is. I am connecting it straight to my computer currently, but when I upgrade my internal drives to an external RAID NAS, I will be able to bring this product along to the party. 5 |

I use this Y-cable for connecting two audio cords (from my desktop speakers) to my computer which only has one stereo output. It is great and I have not found any flaws. I will see how it will hold up in the long run. 5 |
