Computer Speakers Humming Until Audio Cable Is Touched

I am using this cable to connect my computer with speakers.

I use this Y-cable for connecting two audio cords (from my desktop speakers) to my computer which only has one stereo output. It is great and I have not found any flaws. I will see how it will hold up in the long run.

Good quality cable, we use it to connect our computer to the speakers. No complaints.

I have a home recording studio and there is a synth (Korg 01/WFD from the 1990’s) that always gives me a slight hum noise. The humming is faintly low but enough to bother me, especially if I’m recording; for example, if I’m just playing the piano nice and mellow, instead of an entire sequencer with multi tracks in a song, I can still hear that hum. I have a small Mackie mixer, nothing fancy, but it’s very sonically clean as far as audio output. Connecting the XIT-600 in the mixer’s XLR output solved that annoyance on that particular scenario and now that hum background noise is gone and took care of 1 channel. I only have one of these. Now I need to get a second XIT-600 as I record in Stereo. I also recorded / tested the output audio from my mixer to a Tascam DR100 MKII and a professional field recorder such as the Sound Devices Mix Pre-6, which is an unit that is utilized by many boom operators to record audio in many movies. If you deal with more pronounced hum or ground looping issues, since I can’t reproduce that kind of nightmare in my studio, I can’t comment on that.  Like I said, for reasonable, typical humming issues, the XIT-600 will do just fine. But loud humming, bad cables or what have you, it could be anything causing that hum.  If the XIT-600 doesn't solve the problem, you might have to get something bigger and more expensive perhaps. I do Youtube content creation and I was looking to replace my 3 piece computer speakers that I previously used for pc gaming with something more mature and accurate with sound profiles for audio recording. These are excellent for the intended purpose given that they only cost $200 but reflect sound you'd expect in a professional studio. I will say that they provide adequate bass but if you really want the thump and vibration for bass heavy frequencies you'd probably also want to spend on the subwoofer that can be purchased separately, I haven't turned these up full volume yet because I don't feel like intentionally angering neighbors but the audio is enough to fill whatever room you put them in and possibly the next several rooms as well. Very pleased with my purchase

I use this to control audio volumes out from my computer with knobs not software , control amplified speakers and a separate headset control , i could easily add instruments or micro phone to my computer recordings , its pure analog so no USB , sounds really great better than straight computer to speakers i think , a little preamp is inside and it helps , but keep in mind its a mackie mixer and who does a better job of mixer design ? not many if any , its a little tank i needed a little interface and this is over the top nice for me

Was looking for audio speakers for the system tied into the computer, tuner, everything else that wasn't tied to the home theatre system. These are perfect. Clean sound, clean bass.

The Pebble V2 computer speakers are a usable complement to a desktop computer for audio - speaker quality is good. These speakers can be turned off when not in use. I'm pleased with this purchase.

It only took a few minutes to assemble and position these stands. I use them for my computer's M-AUDIO studio monitor speakers. Since I installed the stands, I've been wondering why I didn't buy them sooner. The sound is so much better having the speakers at the right height.

Picked these up to replace an ancient pair of computer speakers I've been using. They have a very well balanced sound to them. No very low bass but I wouldn't expect it from speakers this small. What they have is well balanced, low but not boomy. Good clear crisp top end with nice transient response. Snappy. Using a behringer audio interface and driving them very nicely from the main outs. Not as nice as my JBL L100's but1/5 the size and 1/4 the cost! Just the thing for my audio editing workstation! So far I like them a lot.
