All metal, solid, no loose parts, no whizzing squeaking, none of any kind of noise or weird loose moving parts. Never for a second feels like its just an $80 lens. The picture / video quality is phenomenal as well, one might notice some chromatic aberration but nothing which cant be fixed in post. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The texture is beautiful, and doesn't hinder pen sensitivity at all. In the beginning, with a new Apple pen, there may be some squeaking, but that goes away quickly with use.

I had a V1, but the straps started squeaking. Peak design offered to replace it with a V2. I’m very happy with it and even happier with the customer service! I wish it had a fess more smaller pockets like the right “wing” of the V1 but I can’t complain!

I had been using a video head purchased years ago which began squeaking.  After researching several models, I decided on the Manfrotto which bigger than I had imagined.  I used it with my little Canon Vixia.  I was concerned that it would not work with the lighter camera.  However after practicing with the head and the doing an event, the result was very smooth and I got comments about improved quality in my work.  Like anything in life practice makes perfect.  of this will easily accommodate my Nikon and my lenses.  I highly recommend this item.

Computer speakers & sub-woofer were using 2 outlets on my surge suppressor. This freed one up for me.
