Computer Speakers With Digital Audio Jack

Bought this for my digital piano. It came with two audio jack adopters (6.35 and 3.5), the larger of which fit my piano. Overall, It's built sturdy with metal frames. The ear pieces provide good sound proof and also fairly comfortable for prolonged usage. Sound quality, combined with the sound-proof ear pieces, feels pretty good. Delivers high details across the spectrum. 5 |

My mom uses computer speakers connected to the headphone jack on her Mac Mini. The jack failed (evidently this isn't uncommon). As an inexpensive workaround, I picked up this USB audio adapter, and it worked like a charm. Even plugged into a USB hub, it stays recognized and selected in the Sound System Preferences pane even after rebooting and waking from sleep. 5 |

The headphone out jack on my PC speakers finally wore out, so I needed a new way to select audio output to either speakers or headphones. This switcher seems well-built and makes it easy to quickly toggle between output sources. Being made in the USA is a nice bonus! 5 |

The RS 175 is extremely easy to use and sounds great. I hooked it up with my analog TV headphone out jack, and you can play the headphones by themselves, or at the same time as the optical digital TV out plays through the audio video amplifier into my corded speakers. That way if noisy people enter our living room I can just slip on the headphones and not have to ask them to be quiet or to leave, and I don't have to jack up the sound coming out of the speakers. Also, you just turn them on and they are automatically connected, you don't have to take any additional steps or try to debug any issues. The audio quality is very good and the headset is comfortable. 5 |

Before getting this unit, I ran my four amplified audio speakers from the headphone jack on my iMac. Using audio for editing in Final Cut Pro, but also watching movies at night, I had a nest of splitters separating the stereo lines to the various speakers and also to my headphones. A friend suggested the quality would be better with a digital audio converter, so I purchased this one. I am thrilled with it. I ran all the wires under my editing table and the master volume knob is right there at the front of my desk where I can adjust it when the volume gets too loud (Bruce Willis movies, etc.) And the headphone jack is right where I need it, cutting out the amplified speakers just by plugging it in. Its the most useful addition to my computer in a long time. 5 |

It does exactly what I need. I have a high end stereo receiver and speakers connected to my iMac computer analog audio output (headphone) jack. The receiver also is connected to several other analog audio sources. I have had persistent issues with hum in the audio from the computer. I tried all sorts of things, floating grounds, reversing plugs etc and nothing worked. putting the HE-18 in line with the computer completely eliminated the hum with no adverse side effects to the audio quality. I really appreciate the flexibility of all the various input and output connections. I now have a convenient extra port where I can plug in headphones for private listening when needed. (Unlike the idiots at Apple who put the headphone jack on the back of the iMac. What were they thinking?) The engineer who designed the HE18 deserves a lot of credit. He really did his homework. 5 |

I have these speakers attached to my computer through one of the optical digital inputs and my Blu-ray networked player attached through the co-axial spdif input. I can use them when using my computer, or when not using my computer I can use them when watching a movie or video through my blu-ray player just by switching inputs. 5 |

We wanted to extend our Stereo system to other parts of the house, and after some research, I settled on this BT device. I'm using the BTA30 on the zone 2 (RCA analog) output of an Onkyo TX-8555 receiver to transmit to bluetooth enabled speakers and sound bars around the house. Since the Onkyo does not have digital audio out, I used an analog to digital audio converter** to go from the RCA output on the receiver to the digital TOSLINK input on the BTA30. Setup was simple and straightforward, just remember that the BTA30 has a volume knob, so remember to turn it at least halfway - i had left it all the way down and was trouble shooting for several minutes until I noticed the knob position - turned it up and it worked! I am experiencing a wee bit of latency if I'm listening to the same music in both zones at the same time, but that's most likely because the speakers I'm transmitting to are not APTX capable. In all, it's not that big of an issue, just something to be aware of. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the BTA30 - and the B&H shopping and shipping experience is second to none! **If you don't have a digital output available, you will need an analog to digital audio converter that accepts RCA audio inputs and digital TOSLINK output. You could use the BH #GEATVDA to accomplish this. 5 |
