Computer Storage Drive

Added storage drive to my desktop computer.

From what I can tell so far, my hard drive is working very well. I love having the extra storage on my computer.

this was installed on the family computer and while the previous drive was a typical "sata ssd" i never noticed how slow it was. after learning about different storage types, i now realize why nvme is so much faster. and it is noticeable! the load times for the initial startup is almost instant now. i don't even see the windows loading screen. pictures are clicked and opened almost immediately. i didn't know that a storage device could make such a difference, but my family has informed me that my pc is more than capable and switching to this drive was the breath of life it needed to be brought back into the 21st century. overall super happy with the drive.

This hard drive replaced my 256 GB SSD, of the same make but an older drive. Boot times on the computer are about 4 seconds on, 4 seconds off, so fast my work computer (that also has an SSD) doesn't even get to the Bitlocker password before this one is fully on. 2 TB of storage is a great amount for photo storage (heavy camera user here) and light gaming, couldn't be happier with this drive!

This drive provides compact external storage for my Mac. I have three of them--two copies of files that I don't keep on my computer, and one for Time Machine. The oldest one I have is now two years old and hasn't skipped a beat, so I am happy with their reliability. These drives are a good value and provide the additional storage that I need. Transfer speeds are good, though I wouldn't edit video from them or anything like that.

Bought this drive to give my computer some more storage. its more than fast enough for my use case, even games on it run no problem at all. if you think you need a faster drive than this, I'd think again and save some cash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The WD 4TB passport is a great option if you are looking for a external hard drive that is easy to use, fast and reliable. It works great on my HP computer and on my windows system. I mainly use it to back up photos and videos and some files. This is a great portable hard drive with tons of storage space. It allows me to save storage space on my other devices such as computer and phone. Would definitely recommend this product.

First, a disclaimer. I am not a savvy tech guy. Just an avid amateur photographer. My experience and opinion is not substantiated with hard technical data. My iMac computer’s internal 1TB SSD hard drive was running out of storage for my working LR catalog. This SanDisk external SSD hard drive now stores my photo catalog and appears to work as fast and responsive as my computer’s Internal SSD. I am pleasantly surprised and pleased with this result. It’s as if my computer’s internal storage has been increased by 4TB.
