Works great. The only thing to know is that you must plug the USB into the computer directly and not into a USB hub. If you plug into a hub the software won't see it!

I needed a short USB extension to get from my hub back to my computer. Three feet was just the right length. It just quietly does whatever I ask of it, from charging an iPod to connecting to my card reader.

Very happy with this hub. You can never have too many USB ports and I love that this adds 2 USB-C AND 2 USB-A ports to my computer set-up. I haven't done extensive transfer tests, but its transfer speeds are more than fast enough for my needs. The specs say up to 5Gb/s. and I have no reason to doubt that speed. This hub is also plug and play. My computers see it as soon as it's plugged in. The USB-C cable is integrated, meaning you won't misplace it and it is always there when you need it. I personally prefer that. This hub is also a good size, plenty small enough to use with a laptop and for it to be portable. It has a built in LED display letting you know that the computer sees it. I appreciate that feature. I've had other hubs without a display light and that was annoying. The build quality is also good, especially at this great price point. It is made of plastic, but a quality plastic. It feels sturdy and well-made in my opinion. I've had zero issues with this hub. I have been working from home for the past year and was constantly frustrated by the number of loose cords that would always get tangled. Now I can have my work computer, personal computer and tablet all in one space. The hub is very lightweight and has a sleek design. With newer Apple products there is a lack of ports and this solves that issue since I have a Macbook. One massive bonus is being able to use ethernet through the hub. It's not quite 1gb speed but it is faster than my wifi.

This is excellent. You can never have too many USB ports. This hub is a perfect remedy for lack of ports by providing 10 fast USB slots at your fingertips. I have my computer under my desk, so plugging in USB peripherals straight to the computer ports can be a hassle. It means getting down on the ground and struggling to find an empty slot. This hub eliminates all of that by putting all 10 ports at a convenient place right on my desktop. I love that! I've used this to plug in all kinds of accessories, including hard drives (SSD and HDD), thumb drives, my Polsen US-OB-55 Boundary Microphone, an SD card reader etc. Whatever I plug in works flawlessly. It is also fast. The hub is spec'd to give data transfer rates up to 5 Gb, and I believe it. I've had no issues with speed, even when I have a bunch of things being used at once. It truly has been fantastic. I also love that each port comes with an independent on/off switch. That's a great feature and makes it super easy to turn something on and off very conveniently when not in use. I like to do that after I eject a hard drive or thumb drive, this way the power is cut off. The build quality is good and it's small and discreet, especially considering that it has so many ports. I have had 7-Port Powered USB Hub for about 2 weeks now and it is doing everything that I needed. I didn't know there was a 10 port or I would have gotten that. I may need a second one for another computer so I will get the 10 port then. It is well made and works just fine. If you need it get this one or the 10 port.
