The big advantage is that it has four wide spaced outlets which easily accomodates those bulky power adapters. In addition the power cord swilvels 180 degrees to make it convenient for placement. A very convenient feature is that the front panel has two LED indicators. The first one lights up green to let you know that protection is working. The second one lights up red if there is a building wiring fault. The first time that I plugged in the surge protector, the building wiring fault LED lighted up red so I knew that I had plugged it in to an incorectly wired outlet. I plugged it in to a different outlet and the red LED didn't light up so I knew that I had plugged it in to a correctly wired outlet. If you are looking for superior quality at a low cost then this is the perfect choice.

This is a great backup power source. I use it to make sure power interruptions don't shut off the computer or peripherals. Lots of outlets. Six for surge and battery backup, six for just surge protection. This is more than most other units. It's also smaller than most other comparable units. Many backups are nearly as large as a computer unit. This is not. It's more like an oversized power strip. There are some outlets that are spaced away from the other to accommodate larger plugs. Most other units don't have this feature. This unit also has a fantastic price, nearly 40% less that larger units with less outlets and less backup time. After receiving and testing the first unit, I purchased five more. You will not go wrong with this uninterruptible power supply. And B&H is the best retailer to purchase from. B&H shipsquickly. Electrical power spikes occur for many reasons and your sensitive electronics won't survive unless you have a quality surge suppressor. Most products sold as surge supressors only provide a low level of protection and are little more than power bars. I say so far because i have not lost power yet to test battery backup, but seems to be functioning as it should for power and surge protection. I received this APC backUPS a few weeks ago and had my computer plugged into it. A storm hit just last week and we lost power for a whole week! I plugged my phone into the UPS as well as my computer and I was able to get news updates from our governor about shelters and when it was safe to go outside. I've already bought another for my wife's computer in the den! I highly recommend this to anyone who is under threat of losing power!
