Computer Will Not Recognize Usb Mouse Or Keyboard

This IOGEAR GCS110-4 4-Port KVMP switch is my first purcahse of this type of gear...should have bought one years ago. I had checked out one of the other brands, but the manufacturer's web-site had the same photo and description for two models, very confusing. I am using this switch with three computer, Win7, Win8.1 and a Linux rig. I keep the fourth port open for testing other computers, no need to connect one being tested to a separate keyboard and mouse setup. This switch allows me to easily switch between computers via keyboard shortcuts. I have a Logitech Keyboard and Mouse which share a single wireless USB dongle, plugging the dongle into the keyboard USB port of the monitor area of the switch allows me to use the keyboard and mouse on all computers. I did have to uninstall the Logitech software which allowed for custom keyboard layout (volume up/down, next track, etc.) as it seemed to conflict with the way the KVMP switch emulated Keyboard and Mouse Control...not an issue for me in this case. I am not a hard-core gamer, thus do not have a mouse with 92 buttons on it..more of a FPS and Flight Sim guy here. I like the fact that I can switch the keyboard/mouse, Vidoe and USB separately from the audio, that is I can have music playing on one computer, switch the Keyboard/Mouse, Video, and USB to another computer and still hear the music from the first computer. I have all my external drives and printers connected directly to the Win7 computer working as a server for all my data. I have a USB hub connected to the KVMP input which is accessed by whichever computer I am using for such things as my web-cam, joystick, multimedia card reader, and ID CAC Card Reader. I started taking IT classes and now I can easily do remote access, learned how to access Windows Shared Folders from the Linux box...and more, having the computers side by side with one control system is a Godsend. I would recommend this switch to anyone considering such a purchase.

Will not recognize BT keyboard on initial boot up so need wired to get into Bios.

Works will with my computer and because the mouse and keyboard use the same USB port it frees up space for other uses

Works great, easy to install. Takes a second to recognize the mouse and & keyboard, but it works great!

I bought it because i wanted a keyboard and mouse where i can connect to the computer without use any usb drive, and with their bluetooth capabilities this is possible.

Make sure to actually use the usb output that matches the computer your are testing your mouse+keyboard with. I had the keyboard+mouse not working like some mentioned in other comments/reviews. I contacted the support team which helped me make it work correctly. It's silly but we never know what would have with lack of coffee :) .

Arrived as ordered. Took a little to recognize the wireless USB keyboard. Works great and fast

This microphone has been very useful and easy to use. You simply plug it in the usb port and the computer will automatically recognize it. It's worth the $. I use it for Skype and also recording music. Great sound quality. I recommend this for anybody looking to start off with a simple microphone. Remember. Simple is always best. Go ahead and get yourself one. This product will never disappoint. Trust me:)

I was looking for a wireless keyboard and found this, having the usb work as a wireless receiver for the mouse and keyboard its super convenient.

Hooked it up and it works. You may have to unplug your keyboard or mouse and plug it back in to get the secound computer to reconise it.
