Computer With Cd Drive

Solves the problem of new computer not having a CD/DVD drive, at a reasonable price.

Works great...I got a new Apple computer and it didnt have a CD drive. I needed a CD drive/burner, so I ordered this one and it is great! Small, compact if I should need to carry it with me. I recommend it highly!

I need CD blanks to first backup my computer, in case of external/internal hard drive failure. And to copy/burn and to store relevant data. So I choose Verbatim because they are highly reliable and I have had success with them before.

Got an older computer that can't connect to 5G? Is your WIFI signal weak and a bit unstable? The TP-Link Archer T4U Plus is the answer. Reasonably priced and very easy to install if you have a DVD/CD drive built in. If you don't have a DVD/CD drive you can easily download the driver...still a snap.

Needed a cd drive for my new Asus computer, this works perfectly for what I needed it for, burning a couple CDs to iTunes.

Open the box, open the computer, screw the card in, put the CD in the optical drive to load the driver, plug in the internet cable, Go.

Since my new Apple desktop computer does not have a CD drive, it was necessary to purchase this separately but I would much rather have a separate CD drive than a huge tower!

When I recently purchased a new mini computer to replace my 8 year old desk top tower PC I knew I would have to also purchase an external cd/dvd drive because I am constantly ripping my ever growing cd collection into my computer so I can put the music on a portable 2TB hard drive for my car, which no longer has a cd player. I had purchased a couple of the usual external disc drives that do not fully eject the tray and you have to pull it out by hand and push it back in, which is a totally pain especially since they are so light weight and you also have to hold the unit down with your other hand while you push the tray back in so it won't move around... totally inconvenient for the amount of discs I knew I would be putting in and ejecting out of the drive. Luckily, I found this awesome unit on B&H and have been thrilled with it from the second I plugged it in. It stays exactly where I want it on my desk, smoothly ejects and pulls back in the tray, and has WAY faster read speeds than the cheap flimsy drives I used before purchasing this great device. I knew I wasn't going to need a blu ray drive so I saved a few dollars from buying this unit which is just for, since it won't read blu ray discs. Within a couple of weeks of receiving this I have already been able to rip a few hundred cds from my collection in the short amount of time I get to do this task, and the portable drive for my car is getting filled up fast with the music I enjoy listening to. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and worth every penny.

I upgraded my 27 inch iMac with a Fusion drive so out came the CD. I got the super drive to replace it. Something to keep in mind.. it has to be directly plugged into a USB from the computer. A powered hub doesn't do it. Once you do that, I works wonderfully with cd's, dvd's, and recordable CD's/DVD's. Actually, it works better than the cd that came with my iMac.
