[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a number of computers, from laptops to desktops, old and new, mostly on the Windows 10 platform. I needed a powered USB port hub to 1) increase the number of ports available and 2) to be able to support the power requirements of the peripherals and accessories that I attached to the computer. For example, I have a tablet that I use that is attached to my computer via USB, however, while I am using the tablet it loses its charge and the computer not able to provide enough power to re-charge it. Another example is to provide enough power to external harddrives. I do a lot of programming and technical work on my computers that I have different accessories attched to them - mouse, keyboards, external microphone, web and DSLR camera, smart phones/tablets, CD/DVD reader/burner, bluetooth and WiFi dongles, flash drives, etc. I have other USB port hubs that do not have the external power and it cannot support all the accessories I attached to them. 5 |
