I am using the Rode VXLR+ to connect an inexpensive plug-in-power (condenser) lavalier microphone (with male TRS jack) to my (female XLR) microphone pre-amp on a desktop mixer. The main objective was to circumvent the built in mic on my laptop when I am on web meetings. All I can say is Wow! Everyone says I sound crisp, clear, loud without distortion, and there is no external distracting noise coming through. I used this setup to make a recording of my voice and I was floored. This is a high quality connector with robust input and output jacks and delivers. I expect this product to last a lifetime.
