Been looking for an affordable, but good sounding dialog microphone for awhile. NTG3 sounded good for the money, but a little boomy. Some Sennheisers sounded good, but cost $1000-1300. Then comes NTG5, similar to NTG3 by my ears but a bit flatter, not boomy, yet still warm and detailed. Rode may end up owning the market in anything near this price range, especially since the shock mount and deadcat are included. Congratulations Rode, it seems you have done your homework! 5 |

I really should have bought the ADX20IP Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone WITH the APS910 Power Supply ... but oh well ... live and learn. I use it connected to the Tascam DR-100 MKII and have loved the results. 5 |

Did exactly what it said it would do. Managed to boost audio from a small condenser mic while allowing me to lower the gain. Sounds as loud as before, but now I have lower noise. Would recommend. 5 |
