The TP-Link AV600 Powerline Adapter is a little jewel for extending a wired Internet connection. Simply plug one unit into an AC wall outlet near a router and the other unit into an AC wall outlet in the area where one wants a wired Internet connection. Then, connect the unit by the router to the router with an Ethernet cable. Next, connect the other Powerline adapter to the device, e.g. computer, with another Ethernet cable. Got this to go between an M.2 SSD external case (which only came w/ a USB-C to USB-C cord) and computers that don't have USB-C. Data rate support of full USB 3.1 gen2 was important to avoid limiting the SSDs put in the case and lots of adapters force it down to lower speeds, even USB2.0. 5 |
