Connect Apple Headphones To Mac

The missing piece to connect my Apple LED Cinema Display to my new Mac Studio.

Apple product quality. Got it to connect headphones to the new Fuji Xpro 3. Does just that!

I have a few Apple Cinema Displays and I had to buy it to connect with a MacBook Pro and or a Mac Pro, neither one of them have a DVI in. It works great with both machines, plus the price is great.

I have a new Apple M1 Mac mini and an Apple Cinema Display. This is the ONLY CABLE you need to connect them together (assuming you already have the associated power brick & its cables). For about $15 you can use an old reliable monitor with the newest M1 Mac mini. I tried 3 or 4 other cables (spending about $200) from B&H in addition to other retail/online sellers - none of them worked. This cable does the job

I used this to connect my Mac Mini 2020 to a 2014/2015 Apple LED Cinema Display. So far so good. Great picture, no signs of signal interference, connects right from the USB-C from the machine.

Because I use Apple’s Advanced Data Protection feature, I had to connect the HomePod via cable to my Mac to update its software before I could set it up. But once done, the rest was easy and I’m loving the multi-room play feature.

I bought the Bose QC35 wireless headphones and could not connect to my older Mac Pro. Turns out the Bose QC35 required Bluetooth 4.x, and the Mac Pro has Bluetooth 2.1. So I bought this adapter and it worked like a charm. I can now connect to my iPhone 6S and switch to the Mac Pro easily.

Apple keeps insisting in having proprietary connections, but the reality is that most of the accessories out there don't care about that. With this I can connect headphones or mics. It works, but did we really needed it?

I’m impressed with these headphones, especially for exercise (mostly running). They stay in my ears very well, no discomfort (at least up to 2 hours), connect very well to my various Apple devices, no dropouts at all while connected to my Apple Watch (gen 4), and sound great. They also are the best headphones I’ve had for clarity while in a phone conversation thru Apple Watch. The only minor problem in the past couple weeks is that once I could not get them to connect to my watch without first turning off bluetooth on my iPhone. All other switching between devices has been easy.
