It gives full and good resolution. I installed the driver from the website and it was very smooth process. It has vents so doesn't really overheat. The dock does require its own power adapter which is what provides all the power to the ports and also includes laptop charging. Definitely great for those that need the extra monitors or great for remote work/travelling. Some of the specs are: ~5 USB 3.0 ports (3 in the front, 2 in the back), Dual display, both supporting HDMI or DP (up to 4K 60 hertz), Ethernet jack~Headphone/Speaker 3.5mm jack, Microphone jack, SD and micro SD card slots. I connected my dual 24 monitors to my new work station

I was able to attach three monitors to my Dell Inspiron 17 - 3780 Laptop but I needed two display port to HDMI cables to attach my two HDMI monitors - and when connecting to the Display Ports the one HDMI out on the docking station replicates one of the Display Port outputs... combined with using the HDMI out on my laptop and the screen of my laptop I have four monitors now - it would have been nice to attach five if the HDMI out on the docking station wasn't replicating one of the display port outputs... In any case, the universal dock has been rock solid so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a docking station that does it all....dual monitors, Ethernet, power and sound. This one does it and does it well.

I thought this docking station was a little expensive, but I've changed my mind. When it arrived I hooked it up once (to my new ThinkPad P17 with Windows 11) and it worked beautifully from the start. After a few weeks of operation it is invisible now. I can disconnect my laptop and use it away from my desk, and when I return to my dock the two DP-connected monitors come alive with the right icon layout and display settings (I keep the laptop closed, two 28-inch, 4k monitors are enough screen for me), the keyboard and mouse, ethernet connection, and various USB connections are instantly back online. The cost, almost $500 with tax, is now a "sunk cost" and will amortize over many years and sink into mediocrity while I enjoy the best dock I could buy at the time.
